The girls drive was silent. Applejack was taking Rainbow back to her house, letting her sleep over once again, hopefully with a better outcome this time. AJ had her free hand resting on Dash's lower thigh as she kept her other on the wheel, carefully turning corners and driving in a straight line almost artistically. With occasional glances at the warm contact with her leg and her ex-girlfriends touch, Rainbow would smile, look up at the girl, and then move her gaze towards the window, watching the homes and flora that passed by while AJ did not look away from the road. It was a simple gesture but it made Dash feel special.

Upon reaching their destination, the two got out of the truck, careful not to slam the hinge, and made their way into the house. With no one in the kitchen or living room, the two sped up to Applejack's room and called a quick greeting in the direction of Big Mac, Apple Bloom and Granny Smith's rooms. After hearing the girl's family shouting hellos back to them, they were alerted of their presence yet did not come out to meet the two, likely busy with their own antics. Walking past Apple Bloom's, they could hear a muttering of voices, as well as loud stomp-like sounds, positioning the idea that Applejack's sister's friends, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, were also sleeping over. Rainbow believed Scoot was like the sister she never had. When her and AJ dated, they grew closer as she used to see her around the house when she came over to see Apple Bloom. They shared a love of sports and other extreme activities while also being similar in their disinterests like their lack of fashion.

As the two made their way down the hall lined with portraits of their family tree over the years, the girls went into Applejack's room and softly closed the door behind them. Dash slung her bag over AJ's chair and stepped on the heels of her shoes to remove them, basically making herself at home, and went to go sit on the bed. With Applejack following her close behind, kicking off her boots and placing them carefully next to her wardrobe, she made her way over to Rainbow and initiated action before saying anything to each other.

Dash sat down and waited for the other to join her but unexpectedly, AJ's shadows came closer as a hand lifted her chin and the slight space between the two was closed. Initially surprised by the kiss, Rainbow froze in her motion before falling into it and kissing the girl back, a silent exchange of meaning. With AJ still standing but leaning into the girl's lips, Dash let her arm hold her body upward, one placed behind her and the other lightly on the girls waist. Feeling like she wanted more, Applejack continued to push into the girl, the pressure of their tension heightened as the kiss became more passionate, Dash realising what the girl was trying to do. Forfeiting her solid posture, she let the girl lean into her, AJ's hand travelling from her face to her chest, pushing the girl backwards onto the flat surface. Not breaking the kiss, Applejack slowly crawled over Rainbow, full weight hovering over the other as she let her fingers glide up and down the side of the submitted girl's body. Rainbow felt her body getting warm the same way as it burned with desire earlier in the day, arms beginning to wrap around the girl and pull her closer to gain friction. Feeling the bold action, AJ felt a smirk rise from her lips still in contact with Dash's, Rainbow noticed this too, she opened her eyes as Applejack pulled away slightly.

"What?" Dash groaned, trying to pull the girl's face back to hers, anguished to resume the making out.

Applejack licked her lips as if taking in the girl's salivated taste as the corner of her lips raised, "You're so desperate for me aren't you?" She said in a sultry tone, eyes looking at Dash's and flickering to her lips to set the point in stone.

Rainbow rolled her eyes and moved her hands to the girl's upper chest, pushing the girl lightly in a joking way, "I am not." She stated, looking to AJ's left, avoiding eye contact.

"Oh you so are," Applejack responded, tilting her head to better look at the ignorant girl, letting her hand touch her face in an attempt to twist her gaze back to her own.

"Shut up AJ." Rainbow shot back firmly in denial, whipping her head to look at Applejack for a split second before shockingly raising her hands to the girl's shoulders and applying pressure, flipping the top onto her back as Dash immediately rolled onto her lap, straddling the girl in a clean motion. The look on AJ's face was priceless, she had not expected that. To try and cover up her sudden change in dominance, she remarked, "You clearly still remember how to do that from last time hmm?"

"Muscle memory at this point," Dash replied as she shrugged flirtatiously, slowly letting her body lean forward as her arms rested beside the girl's face in anticipation of a kiss. Before they could reconnect, Applejack asked her another question that caught her off guard.

"Had you been with anyone else after me?"

Dash hinged back slightly and looked at her, answering honestly, she said, "No."

Taking the opportunity to joke about it, despite it being still somewhat of an open wound, she snarked, "Not like you're one to talk if I did though." Planting a quick kiss on Applejack's lips as if closing off their romance section, she sat back up and lifted her body weight off the girl, pulling her knees to her chest as AJ sat up.

Applejack sighed in an apologetic way, reaching towards the girl and pulling her into a hug. "I'm sorry Dash."

"I know. It's okay."

"It's not okay."

"I know but...it's okay. As long as you never do it again, it's okay..."

"I promise, I will never do that again Rainbow."

"Okay."

They huddled closer together and stayed in the enveloped position, a new comfort growing and their journey to relationship stability beginning.
