"Speaking of disappearing...has anyone seen Rainbow Dash?" Applejack asked their group of friends, the only few that were gathered in the dining hall following a series of questionable events relating to their abilities. Pinkie's cupcake mixture exploding, Rarity sending AJ into the water with a diamond forcefield, Applejack belaying as light as a feather, Fluttershy able to understand the birds. So much for getting away from the magic at Canterlot High.

As if her name spoken by AJ summoned her, a multi-coloured trail streamed through the door at high speeds, whisking fast winds past the group and messing up their hair as the source of the rainbow hit the wall opposite the entrance.

"Ow!" A familiar face whined, rubbing her forehead with her right palm as the other tried to support her form that was winded when falling to the floor. Dash's richochet off the concrete led her to be injured in two areas, an urgency in AJ causing her to run forward and help the girl.

"Woah. Are you okay? How did you do that?" Applejack questioned as she rushed over, supporting Rainbow's under arm as she lifted her up off the floor using majority of her own strength, not letting go until she was stable on two feet. Dash thanked her quietly and leaned against the table so there wasn't so much pressure on her legs before replying.

"I don't know? I started running to get the harness for rock climbing, and the next thing I knew, I was practically back in town!" She explained, gesturing as she spoke in the direction that she came from. AJ listened and settled a hand on her shoulder comfortingly as if she had healing properties, also just wanting to stay near if she needed someone to lean on.

"Well if you had some kind of super speed, why were you gone for so long?" Rarity asked trying to connect the dots and discover rhyme or reason for what they were all experiencing.

"I lost it when I got far away, but then it came back when I got close to camp," Rainbow told her, gesturing to her legs as if they were the ones unwillingly carrying her so far.

A loud gasp echoed from behind the two, Pinkie sticking her head into the conversation to offer her opinion, "Oh my gosh, does that mean camp is giving us all these new magical abilities?"

"Not all of us got new abilities, I haven't, but Twilight-" Sunset began to reply and gazed over at the girl to see her furiously shaking her head with wide eyes, "Hasn't gotten hers either..." she ended, altering her sentence from what she was going to say as it was clear Twilight didn't want to share her secret.

"So much for leaving CHS to leave all that magic business behind," AJ grumbled, crossing her arms across her chest, genuinely annoyed at how Equestria's power still managed to find them here yet quietly prideful of how strong she felt earlier.

"Something in the camp must be making this happen..." Sunset suggested, initiating a closed off reaction from Twilight, looking away from her friends and silently taunting herself of how her theoretical remnants of Midnight Sparkle within her are making her friends abilities act up.
