"Well, it's been a long time since we've done that huh Rainbow," Applejack stated, letting her head rest on her hand as she angled her body upwards slightly to look at the girl.
Dash let out a soft laugh in response and looked into AJ's eyes leaning in to plant a quick kiss on her lips in a grateful way before going back to her lying down position, both girls a bit sweaty from the event. "Thank you."
"No need to thank me sugarcube." AJ replied as she lifted a hand to brush a stray red lock away from the girl's face with a smile growing. Rainbow's eyes followed the girl's hand as it fixed her strand back into place, gaze turning back to the girl with a more serious expression now.
"Do you promise that nothing is going to happen with you and Rarity again?" She asked quietly, Applejack retracting her hand as the topic was raised and short silence followed.
"I was a real jerk Dash, I'm really sorry for everything I did. I promise I only want you."
"I'll hold you to that." Rainbow replied, some form of forgiveness in her tone. "But I may need a bit longer to be okay again. You know...I'll believe it more when I see you and her not acting as...coupley I guess. Sorry."
"Rainbow you shouldn't be sorry at all, this is completely on me, and I'll spend however long it takes to make it up to you and make sure you feel secure with...whatever we are."
"Thanks AJ."
"I don't deserve that. I've been a terrible person recently to you, sober or not."
"Well...yeah, but I can't help that despite all that shit, I still like you. So a part of me is really trying to trust you here that we'll be okay, but only time will tell."
Applejack delicately raised a hand to cup the girl's cheek in a comforting way. "I don't know how I got so lucky all those months ago."
Dash chuckled under her breath, letting an egotistical flirt slip out, "Yeah you're pretty lucky, I'm damn awesome."
AJ returned the laugh, seriousness still floating over their heads before settling back into the conversation. "Rainbow you can take all the time you need okay? I'll be waiting for you no matter how long it takes and I'll spend it proving how you're my number one."
Dash shook her head as the back of her mind let it's thoughts be exposed, "God we're so cheesy. Like those romance novels."
Ignoring the main point of what Dash was saying she identified the second half of her comment and raised an eyebrow to tease the girl. "Romance novels hmmm?"
Dash's eyebrows furrowed as she rolled her eyes, announcing a defensive "Shut up," as AJ continued to poke fun at the girl. "So you do read other stories than Daring Do."
"No chance AJ, I'm way too cool for that sappy stuff."
"Sure..."

Sunset and Twilight exited the school together a while after their friends had left, the conversation reaching deeper topics of pondering what they could not figure out at Pinkie's house.
"We still need to figure out the Dazzling's motive at the party, I mean sure our group is kind of in shambles right now, but that would have happened anyway despite the party since every other team in existence is trying to sabotage us." Sunset brought out, giving their thoughts a quick recap and observation of differing scenarios.
"Do you think they knew Applejack would pass out? What if they spiked her drink and that's why she passed out, I don't know many people that are lightweights." Twilight inquired, tapping her blue pen to Fluttershy's notebook in thought.
"I doubt it, they didn't manage to get close to her all night. It must come down to her calling the game. How could they even count on Applejack participating, sober AJ wouldn't bat an eye to silly party tricks like that." The other added as they made their way down the front steps, a mostly deserted parking lot awaiting them.
"Rarity seemed to not be feeling well the morning after the party too, she and AJ didn't even talk, which is weird right because aren't they something of a couple?" Twilight continued shuffling through the evidence and tracking the events of the day after.
"I mean both of the girls were probably just hung over, but yeah, the not talking is odd since they last thing they did before AJ passed out was together and neither seemed unhappy at the time," Sunset concluded, the pair walking across the grass patch and making their way in the direction of the portal statue which was closeby.
Twilight considered her thoughts and began to open her mouth to speak again when Sunset delivered a sudden force upon the girl, shoving them closer to the statue and their view of the parking lot restricted. "Sunset wha-"
"Look." The girl ordered, eyeline seemingly extending beyond the edge of the marble horse and across the almost deserted lot. Twilight lifted her head barely above the others, cautious as to what Sunset was referring to and trying to disguise them from being seen by whatever possible danger there may be, but her eyes instead meeting an unexpected sight.
Rainbow Dash and Applejack were kissing against the farmer's truck. In broad daylight.
"WHAT." Twilight let out, Sunset immediately violently trying to shush her so they would remain unnoticed. Her eyes widened in the realisation of her poor social skills, her thoughts connected quickly and epiphanies occurred. "How long have they been...connected again?"
Sunset took a quick glance back at the two infatuated girls and looked back at the one she liked, answering her question, "I don't know, I guess they have been acting a bit weird, they always seem to be alone, just the two of them. I thought it was coincidence but...maybe they were trying to be alone..."
As the puzzle pieces joined together, as if synchronised Twilight noted how AJ and Dash were the last ones to meet the group before leaving for the party, Sunset remembering them coming out of the bathroom together at Pinkie's, they both formed a thought at the same time.
"Do you think...The Dazzlings knew about them?" Sunset started.
"And they somehow found out about Rarity and Applejack being some form of intimate couple..." Twilight added.
"So they started the game so drunk Rarity and AJ would participate," Sunset continued.
"Making Rainbow and Applejack fight about it to cause some weird love triangle..."
"So the group would be less stable..."
"And we wouldn't be able to use our magic as our friendship bonds are weakened," Twilight exclaimed, finishing their colliding thoughts.
"Oh my gosh." Sunset voiced, shaking her head in disbelief about how deep their new reliable theory ran, raising her gaze to meet that of a worried girl.
"Sunset...how are we going to fix this?"
