With a drying towel slung over her shoulder and an empty glass in her hand, Applejack easily managed the uneventful night in the bar. With only a few tables occupied, a male and female couple downing beers, a group of old golfers catching up after playing a few holes, it was a peaceful setting. No customer complaints, everyone being polite, the noise to a minimum. 

As the girl raised her right hand across her body to grip the towel, accidentally scraping past her pinned name tag, she pulled it off her shoulder and used the corner of the fabric to gently remove a finger print she left on the top rim after washing it. She liked the slower days. While it made them less money, she felt the work more enjoyable, especially since she always found herself sharing the quiet shifts with her closest co-worker Rarity. The way the girl held herself made her seem out of place that she was working at such a dimly lit, cheap and somewhat trashy bar, but their manager always had an eye for hiring the pretty girls. 

He was a man who claimed to be gay many times hence feeling as if he could speak openly to the girls about how they could best get tips, hence, resulting in their strategic uniform being decided. The girls that worked here were encouraged to arrive in black, preferably tight yet breathable clothing, so that the younger males would tip them more in hopes of getting some form of physical gratuity. Most of the guys would hit on Rarity in her short sleeveless dresses or lowcut tops, the girl played along with their flirts which tended to secure large sums, however for AJ it was a bit different. 

Since she grew up on a farm and spent most of her time completing heavy lifting chores for her family, she had gained significant muscle overtime, the tight black tank tops she wore each shift highlighting this. Due to her strong figure, some men were deterred by her stereotypical lack of femininity, yet the girls that visited the bar were very generous. She'd receive most of her pay through the cash mounds young girls would slip to her, Applejack noticing a pattern of how most of them had darker nail polish and some form of coloured streak in their hair. While she was greatly accepting of the female attention as she herself was into that, the few times male customers had offered her their affection, she went with it and just imagined the gender bended version of them so she could secure that bread. The money the two girls could make there was worth putting up with flirts all day. 

Placing the clean glass down that had previously been filled up with an alcohol smelling too much like yeast for AJ's liking, she noticed her friend approach from the corner of her eye, looking up at her from the bench to see what she was to say. 

"Guess who got another tip?" Rarity rhetorically asked cheerfully as she held up a 20 dollar bill in her hand, "Those golfers are loaded," she continued as she lowered her arm to tuck the money in her labelled jar under the bar table. "You should go flirt with them too, they'll pay big bucks for a blonde I bet," Rarity offered encouragingly as she turned to face away from the customers, quickly and unprofessionally adjusting her top so her cleavage was more present. 

Applejack found her eyes looking down at the girls chest before glancing back up to meet her eyes, "Well I can see why they're raining cash over you," she joked, raising her eyebrows knowingly.
