"OHH, they're THAT kind of off..." Pinkie exclaimed as the three mysterious girls exited the cafeteria, leaving arguments and disputes to trail. Rainbow and Applejack had made their way back to their friend's table separately and sat on opposite sides of the bench, AJ paying more attention to Dash than she was to her. While Sunset updated the two on what had happened when they weren't there, Dash listened attentively to avoid looking in Applejack's direction, feeling the set of eyes on her. AJ tuned out a bit and only paid attention to Rainbow as if staring would form an apology to fix things between them and was only brought back to the conversation when everyone started to get up, saying something about telling Principal Celestia.
As the group walked down the hall, Rainbow ran ahead and kicked a stray soccer ball down the lockered walls, putting as much distance between herself and AJ as she could. Subtly stemming from curiosity, she angled her head so she could see her friends in her peripherals, spying Applejack and Rarity walking together and murmuring. It hurt but, at least Applejack wasn't going to hurt another of their friends.

JUMP TO AFTER CELESTIAS OFFICE AND SUNSET WRITING IN BOOK TO TWILIGHT
The girls figured the best thing they could do was alert Twilight and ask her for help considering Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna were both under some kind of spell and weren't thinking straight. As the girls sat by the statue out the front of their school, they lost hope Twilight got their message through Sunset's dimension travelling communication book. Rainbow Dash kicked a ball around the open grass and bounced it on her knee, focusing on her balance and coordination as she decided to prioritise things that matter like her commitment to sport, not traitors. Further away, Applejack hoisted herself up to sit ontop of the pedestal, at the foot of the horse with Pinkie following the climb, deciding to play a game of cards while they waited. Leaning back against the tail with her arm resting on her bent leg, Applejack watched Rainbow while Pinkie dealt cards. The way she moved in the path of the ball and was able to strike it with correct aim each time, bouncing off the school walls and back to her yield, reminded her of their younger days, yet the unchanged admiration and impressiveness of her talent unwavering. Pinkie finished dealing their cards and began to play a game she had created in her own time, requiring four cards each with a draw and discard pile, dragging AJ's attention away from Dash and back to the activity.
Time had gone by and no familiar purple girl had walked through the base of the statue.
"I'm beginning to think she's not co-..." Rainbow began to say but was interrupted by Twilight bursting from the newly formed white oval in stone, glints of magic spritzing from its surface. Sunset held a hand out towards the girl who had fallen to the floor in an anxious entrance, who cautiously took it, slowly becoming aware of her bad-to-good transition.
"Twilight!" Her friends shouted, all immediately clamouring around her and squeezing the pony girl in a tight hold. Rainbow and Applejack tried to remain apart, yet their path to Twilight positioned them near each other in the group hug. Hands brushing against each other as their arms overlapped to keep the peace with the friends, they tried to avoid any drama or questioning of potentially weird actions, just enjoying the company of their friend they had missed. Pulling away from the contact, Rainbow quickly dropped her arms away from the lingering hands of AJ as she stepped back and instantly started talking, similarly to the other girls.
Twilight stopped the chatter and her joyous expression sank into a regretful one. "I've got some bad news about those new girls..."

Sitting in the cafe where Rainbow's first clash with Applejack occurred, the girls tried to do some catching up before Twilight explained the dangers that were to fall upon their targetted school. Making themselves comfortable, Pinkie, Twilight and Rarity shared the sofa with a somewhat discluded Sunset leaning on the armrest. Sunset understood that she wasn't as close to the rest of the girls as they were to each other, but it was a miracle that they even wanted to be friends with her after her devilish rampage. Yet, it still hurt a little knowing she could have been more included if she had just not been so power-hungry.
Pulling up chairs, Fluttershy sat opposite the couch with a comfortable Spike in her lap, chomping on a biscuit treat she happened to carry with her. Rainbow and AJ purposely sat on either side of Fluttershy so they would not be near each other. Applejack twisted a chair around in one movement so that the cushion was facing her and mounted it as if she were a cowgirl, swinging one leg over it before sitting. Rainbow noticed the posture and felt a tense shiver being sent through her body, her nerves betraying her at still finding AJ attractive. Taking a quick peek at the girl, she alarmingly looked away as she found a pair of green eyes staring back at her, presumably already in her direction before she looked over.
Knowing she had AJ's attention, she wanted to pay AJ back for the way she was making her feel through her sitting. Raising one leg up to the table and then another to rest beside it, she stretched her neck back a bit as if extending a tight muscle, placed her hands behind her head and let a soft sigh exit her orifice. Pushing off the ground slightly to balance on two of the four legs, she confidently looked back at Applejack to try and pinpoint any change in facial expression, a possible indication she liked what she was seeing and was getting jealous of what she had lost. A smirk broke from her lips as she saw a light red blur rise on the girl's cheeks and pupils somewhat dilated, AJ's eyes widening further as the smirk enforced the effect Dash was having on her. As if it was a competition Dash knew she had won. She turned her head back to face the couch, eyes remaining connected, before taking them off the flustered girl at the last second to really land it.
Satisfied with her subtle performance, she was able to reconnect with their friends, hearing the tail end of Twilight saying, "-horrifyingly awful winged monster...No offence," Which Sunset responded to with another "None taken," that she's had to repeat throughout the day. Dash stood up and contributed to the conversation, trying to hide the fact she had been focusing on Applejack the whole time.
"They'll never even know what hit em!" Proceeding to present her hand-to-hand combat skills through a series of kicks and punches as she exhaled fight sound effects, she moved around Fluttershy's chair to pull out a roundhouse kick. Sealing the performance with a final punch as she was about done with her peacock flaunting, her fast-flying fist was caught by an unexpected orange grasp, hand wrapping around Dash's perfectly. Eyes shockingly ranging from the collided fists to Applejack's stare as she delivered a phrase, "We've got nothing to worry about now that Twilight's back." While the other girls continued to chat in response to that, Fluttershy expressed worry that she'd easily be able to find something to worry about with Twilight quickly comforting the girl, AJ and Dash were distracted. Their hands were still intertwined and their gaze was still connected, Rainbow knew it would be incredibly hard to resist her interest in Applejack as it stayed prevalent for so long. Now that she had finally gotten her it felt wrong to deny the attraction, but she couldn't, definitely not after the way AJ had acted. She just had to keep reminding herself she deserves better than this. Dropping her hand to her side and breaking their matched eyelines, she went to go sit back in her chair and listened to the party-crashing plan Twilight and Pinkie suggested.
