By the time they had arrived, multiple bands were there already, the girls observing Flash Sentry and his band, Lyra and her girlfriend Sweetie, Trixie and her two friends, as well as other students from their grade scattered across the open space room. Spitfire and her large gang saw the Rainbooms enter, Dash's friend coming over to greet them with a red plastic cup in her hand, light shadows on the cup's length showing how it was almost empty.

"Hey Dash! Glad you could make it." She said as she strode over to her and slung an arm across her shoulders, draining what was left of the liquid in her grasp. "Hey Fire, things seemed to heat up fast huh?" Rainbow replied, slowly trying to move out of the girl's drunken grasp, aware of what AJ might think and also due to her weight being transferred onto Rainbow too much.

Spitfire let the girl go and instead leaned against the wall adjacent to the entryway where the girls could clearly glimpse the living room scene, couches pressed against the walls with the main furniture being a low table, scattered with ping pong balls and empty cups as people would occasionally get up and stand on it, knocking some of the contents off. "Yeah, I reckon since everyone's real stressed about the battle tomorrow, they're letting loose now." Spitfire responded, looking around at the antics of her household. "I'll leave you guys to it, enjoy the party." She concluded, raising a fist to give Dash a soft punch in the arm, then nodding a greeting at the others before returning to the athletes who seemed to be loudly conversing over the music, alcohol clearly in their systems.

Twilight quickly gave everyone a debrief before they could split up, reminding them to keep an eye out for the Dazzlings. 'We probably won't be here too long,' Dash thought, the place looked exactly like the parties AJ confirmed she was hoping it would not become. Wanting to separate from the others with AJ and talk to her about the recklessness surrounding them, spending more time with the girl she was slowly forgiving, she inched towards her. Yet before she could get too close, Rarity had wrapped an arm around the girl's waist, "AJ let's go get a drink!" she suggested, pulling the girl with her before she could mutter a counter opinion. Rainbow's jaw became tense and teeth ground, 'only I can call her AJ,' she thought.

Sunset and Twilight left to make their way to one of the couches, suspiciously near Flash Sentry, Twi probably wanting to talk to him, unfortunate for Sunset who was playing the heartstrained wing woman. Dash turned to look at her friend options left, noticing a bounding Pinkie make her way over to the table in the centre of the room, joining a group of people about to start a new game of beer pong, leaving her with Fluttershy. The meek girl was looking around the room anxiously, and instantly grew closer to Rainbow's side, grabbing her arm and hiding behind it as if using her as a guide along the social scene. Dash smiled down fondly at her childhood friend and let out a breathy laugh, "It's okay Flutters, we can go out on the patio if you want. Less noise and more nature out there?" She offered kindly knowing the current mindset of the introvert. Fluttershy tried to straighten, standing taller and took a deep breath in, "It's okay Rainbow, we should probably be here in case our friends need us." She said close to Dash's ear, ensuring she'd be able to hear. Dash twisted to face the girl and loosely holding her hand, began to take her to a different corner of the room, "Okay Flutters, we can stand over here, a bit further from the main events, but if you ever feel like this is too much, we can go outside okay?" Rainbow insisted caringly, Fluttershy was the kindest person she knew, and considering their long history, she freely returned the gesture, Flutters being one of the only people she was this altruistic towards.

Fluttershy nodded somewhat cheerfully and glanced down at Dash's hand in hers with a light pink settling across her face, a hidden smile growing as Rainbow led them to a new section away from the chaos. Resuming a spot near a plant Spitfire seemed to keep as decoration, they leaned against the wall together leaving a small space between the other, Dash acting as Fluttershy's support. Whilst Rainbow would prefer to be among all the action, dancing terribly with her athlete friends, trying to get the ball into the furthest cup with Pinkie, she did insinuate to Applejack she wouldn't act like that tonight. Her responsibility was holding strong, she remained in the corner and simply observed with her pink-haired friend.

CONTENT WARNING! DRINKING!

Rarity and Applejack had made it to the kitchen which was connected to the main living space, a large crowd of people surrounded the island bench that was towered with stores of inexpensive spirits, uncracked beer bottles, some mixed sodas and mostly clean solo cups, awaiting their usage. Rarity leaned across the somewhat sticky bench and was able to snatch up two clean cups, ravenously grab a bottle of vodka and a form of fizzy fruit punch, pouring the two unevenly to form a digestible concoction, shoving one into Applejack's grasp.

"Come on darling, let's have some fun!" Rarity exclaimed while taking a large sip of her mixture, and nodding after swallowing, admiring her quick barista skills. AJ was unsure of whether she should drink alcohol, knowing that is exactly what she implied Dash should not do. Her mind flinching as she considered her options, she once again let her incorrect judgment best her. Applying her knowledge of how Dash was probably going to drink anyway as she doesn't stick by anyone's rules but her own, she assumed she'd end up getting drunk anyway. If Dash felt no resistance to denying Applejack's suggestion, maybe she should be a bit more like Dash. Maybe if they were able to relate to each other over blurred experiences, Rainbow would be more chilled out around her and think they have more in common, then more likely to want to be in a relationship with her.

She knew drinking was stupid and with only just being of age, would likely impact their brain development, but for Dash, she may as well try. "Sure, why the hell not." She replied to Rare, not thinking and throwing back a considerable amount of the drink. The initial flavour was okay but it was the aftertaste that burnt her throat, feeling it also creep through her sinuses. 'Is this their idea of fun?' AJ thought, looking around at the crowd who were relinquished in their own indulgence. Pouring more into Applejack's cup, Rarity topped both of them off and proceeded to drag the girl into the living room again near a group of people dancing to the blaring music, 'Hey Baby by Pitbull,' through large speakers connected to the TV. Through her peripherals, she could see Dash standing in the corner with Fluttershy, an instance of eye contact made before Rarity lifted AJ's chin to look at her. "Dance with me!" She excitedly called, beginning to move to the lyrics and bass booming.

'Maybe I'll get to show Dash I ain't so boring. '
