"Welcome aboard the Luxe Deluxe, you'll set sail for a full week of luxurious luxuriating on our most, deluxe, luxury liner," Twilight read from a pamphlet that crew members were passing out earlier when the group had made their way onto the cruise.
"Sounds...luxurious," Fluttershy commented sarcastically, smiling as if she were about to giggle at the absurd repeated usage of the same word, the paper basically seeping with it.
Earlier in the year, the girls had caught ear of how a few cliques were planning their own individual endeavours outside of Everfree to celebrate graduating with their close friends all purely organised by themselves, and wanted to take part in maybe their last opportunity to travel together. Wanting to, in a way, give back to the kindness her new group had shown her, Twilight put in most of the extra effort, ranging from picking the cruise journey, booking the tickets, and securing an itinerary, to ensure it was a trip to be remembered.
"Did you see there's a petting zoo on board?" Twilight excitedly shared with the animal lover, hyping up the activities there were to ensure her friends had the best time, "And an all you can eat dessert buffet!" She added, aiming this towards Pinkie who had seemingly just returned from collecting smoothies for her friends who asked for one, passing a green tinted glass to Rainbow.
To Twi's satisfaction, Pinkie let out a happy squeal as she proceeded to pass out the remaining smoothies in her arms, Rarity receiving a light purple sludge that Applejack assumed was blueberry.
"Twilight! This cruise has everything!" she continued to chirp as she gratefully handed the last drink with a piece of strawberry on it's rim to the girl, then highlighting, "And a moving floor!"
Contrary to her friends initial reactions to the ship, AJ was not as aware of her inability to handle the consistent rocking, especially on the top deck where the movement was greatest. "I think...I may have forgotten to pack my sea legs," Applejack told her friends as she leaned to slump over the railing, her need to grip onto anything solid, growing, in an attempt to bring her motion to a stop. Being rather unsuccessful, all she could do was hope she'd adjust to its movement with each passing day and expel whatever she needed from her system over the edge into the waves crashing into the side of the boat. Free food for the fish I guess. Looking over at her girlfriend with a sorry gaze across her face, Dash came closer to her and placed a caring hand on her back as if it were to offer any physical reassurance.
As Sunset noticed a guilty lowering of Twilight's face, the girl probably feeling bad for putting one of her group members in the situation where they'd have to suck it up and deal with a queasy stomach all vacation, she tried to offer some verbal affirmation to make her feel better. "Thank you for organising this trip," she said gratefully as she lifted her right arm to wrap it across her shoulders just long enough to pull her in for a side hug before letting their figures separate again. Rainbow decided to pipe up and introduce her perspective, yet it being one not everyone was fond of.
