(Toriel's POV)

I woke up to the sound of birds singing, and the warmth of Asgore's arms wrapped around me.

"Good morning, Gorey," I whispered in his floppy ear, before nuzzling noses with him.

Asgore opened his brown eyes. "Morning, Tori," he replied. "The kids have a surprise for you."

At that moment, the door opened, and my children walked in, Chara holding a plate with sausages and an omelet on it, Asriel carrying a fork and knife for me, and Aria with a glass of orange juice.

"I squeezed it myself!" The young goat girl said excitedly, her tai wagging.

"Happy Mother's Day, Mom," Asriel said, hugging me.

"Aw, you remembered," I said, feeling warmth in my heart. "Thank you, my children. This is wonderful!"

At once, I started eating the breakfast the kids had made. The sausages were cooked to perfection, and the omelet was seasoned perfectly, and the cheddar cheese on the inside only made it more flavorful.

Once I'd finished, I thanked my children for the meal. "It was truly something special."

Then, one by one, Asriel, Aria, Kris, Chara, and Frisk all gave me gifts they'd purchased for this day. Frisk presented me with a fluffy throw blanket, after which Chara gave me... was that a knife?!

"It's not real," Chara said. He took the dagger, and unwrapped it, revealing the tip of a dark chocolate blade. "It's chocolate."

"Oh, my," I said. "This is... different. But, knowing you," I chuckled, "I really should've expected this. Thank you, Chara. I'll be sure to enjoy this later on."

Kris ended up giving me a T-shirt with a chibi goat on it that he'd found. "It made me think of you," He said. I couldn't help but laugh. "Thank you, Kris," I replied. "You always know how to brighten my day in the most unconventional ways!"

Asriel's gift was a hard-cover copy of Pride and Prejudice, a book which he said he'd read in his spare time, and enjoyed it. "I thought you'd like it, given you like classic literature."

"Thank you, Asriel!" I said. "I'll enjoy reading this!"

Lastly, Aria showed me her gift to me: A colored picture she drew of me and her, gazing up at the clouds on a sunny day. "It's a sign of how much I love you, Mom," she said.

I nodded at my daughter, then at the rest of my family. "And I love you—all of you—more than you could ever know."

At that moment, the phone rang. The caller ID said it was Vanessa, Develyn's mother, contacting me. I answered the call.

"Hello, Toriel Dreemurr speaking," I said.

"Ah, just the woman I was hoping to talk to," Vanessa replied. "I think I have the perfect pie recipe to beat out even your Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie. What do you say to a friendly competition?"

"Oh, you are on," I replied. "What time?"

"2:30."

"Deal. See you then, Vanessa." I hung up the phone. "Thinks she can beat my pie, does she?" I gave Asgore a mischievous grin. "We'll see who's the better baker."

(Aria's POV, 2:30PM)

As soon as Vanessa and Develyn arrived, Frisk ran over and hugged her boyfriend. "I'm so happy to see you again, Vel!" She said happily. "I'll be cheering on both your mom and mine!"

Develyn chuckled. "Maybe now, I'll finally decide which pie is better—Mom's key lime or Tori's Butterscotch pie."

Vanessa looked at Toriel. "Let's make this clean and fun," she said. "You may make a good Butterscotch pie, but you'll crumble at the power of key lime." She was smiling at Tori, and the goat mom responded, "Oh, you think so, do you?"
