(Aria's POV)

I was playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with Asriel and Kris on the Switch. The three of us were on the same team, battling three Level 6 computer-controlled characters. I was utilizing Zelda, Asriel chose Link, and Kris was playing as Ganondorf. (We decided to make Legend of Zelda our theme.) We were battling against King Dedede (from the Kirby series), Little Mac (from the Punch-Out!! series), and Cloud (from the Final Fantasy series). It was a stock battle, and, unfortunately, we were a little in over our heads.

"We're not going to win this, are we?" Kris asked.

Asriel unleashed a powerful Spin Attack, saying, "It's not over until it's over. Have some optimism, Kris!"

I nodded, grabbing the Smash Ball that just appeared.

"Good going, Aria!" Asriel commented.

Unfortunately, too late did I realize that I had high damage, and with a powerful Jet Hammer (Dedede's down special), I lost my last stock.

"Avenge me, brothers of mine!" I said.

Kris devastated Little Mac with full-force Warlock Punch which KOed him, but Mac still had one stock left. Meanwhile, Asriel was trying to KO Dedede, but he was a heavyweight character, and just wouldn't go flying like Asriel hoped. In the end, the enemy team won.

Asriel sighed. "Oh, well," he said. "Can't win them all, can we?"

"Agreed," I replied. "Kris, wanna try our hand against some Level 5 characters?"

Kris shook his head slowly, setting down his Joy-Con controller. "You two can do the Spirit Board if you want," he said. "I'm going to step outside for some fresh air." With that, he went into the backyard.

I looked at Asriel, and he read my thoughts. Well, technically, reading thoughts were Kirin and Crystal Dracon's thing, since they utilized PSI-based magic, but he seemed to do so.

We went into the backyard, and saw Kris standing there alone.

"Kris!" Asriel called.

Kris turned, but he didn't look surprised to see us. "How'd I know you'd follow me out here?" he asked. He didn't ask in a rude manner, but his response was apathetic.

"Kris, you're our brother," I said. "If something's bothering you, you can always tell us, Frisk, Mom, or Dad. Maybe even Chara would listen."

Kris gave a small smile. "Thanks," he said, but then his smile faded as he asked, "Do you think I'm odd?"

Asriel chuckled, but then quickly gave fake coughs to cover his chuckles.

"Odd?" I asked. "Why on Earth would you think you're odd?"

Kris sighed. "Well, some people who adopted me thought I acted a bit strange. Lately, I've been wondering if I really am as strange as I seem."

Asriel gave another chuckle, and this time, he didn't try to hide it. "Kris Dreemurr, you live with a two time travelers (one former, and one current),and four goats, two of who are able to access the form of Hypergods, one of whom was a former SOULless flower who tried to destroy the world. So basically, at the very least by comparison, you're pretty normal." He sighed. "And if anyone is giving you grief about you supposedly being odd, then they're short-sighted and not worth listening to."

"That's right," I said. "No matter what, you're our brother, and we love you very much. What others think of you isn't as important as what you think of yourself. And even then, if you're thinking bad thoughts about yourself, you shouldn't look down on yourself. If you think you're not worth it, that doesn't mean you should change who you are; that just means you should change your point of view. You're a valued member of the Dreemurr family, Kris. Nothing will change that."
