ALTHOUGH ARIA SEEMED FOCUSED ON HER GAME, she was concerned about Asriel. He'd mentioned that he'd eat ten snail pies if he could. This, combined with the hungry look he'd been giving at least one of the snail pies Toriel had made, was disconcerting.
Stop worrying, she scolded herself. Azzy'll be fine.
She, Frisk, and Chara were in a fierce Bedwars battle. Chara was on the yellow team, Frisk on red, and Aria on green.
"What's the matter?"
Frisk's question snapped Aria out of her own thoughts. "Nothing," she answered. "Just worried about Azzy."
" You'll make a great mother," Chara said.
"Really?"
"I can tell, since you're clearly so worried!"
"Not funny." Aria gave Chara a disapproving look.
"Sorry," Chara said, but their expression told her that they were trying not to laugh.
"Let's just focus on the game," Frisk said, and the game continued.
The battle was difficult for Aria, but she wasn't alone, thankfully. Her teammates assisted her whenever possible. Frisk and Chara tried their best, but the green team was a valiant, fierce fighting unit which proved almost unstoppable.
It was clear: Aria's team won the day.Aria was so excited, she raced downstairs to tell her brother the joyous news.
"Azzy! Azzy! Guess what! My team wo-" She suddenly stopped in the kitchen when she saw her brother.
"Asriel?"
Asriel groaned. He was leaning forward in his chair, clutching his belly as if in pain.
"Oh no - Asriel! What happened?"
The only response from Asriel was a groan, but he didn't need to give a proper answer - at least, not when Aria looked at the clues that told her what had taken place.
The butterscotch-cinnamon pie that Toriel had made was still as it was, but the ten tins which held snail pie at one point were empty, excepting a few crumbs. More crumbs were seen on Asriel's shirt as he leaned back, and Aria knew she was right to have been worried.
"Azzy... You didn't..." she whispered, before shouting, "Frisk! Chara! It's Asriel! Come down quickly!"
The two human children raced downstairs to the kitchen at Aria's call, and they were just as worried as she was upon seeing Goatbro.
"What the heck happened?" Chara asked.
"You know how Asriel mentioned that he'd eat ten snail pies if he could?" asked Aria, her question receiving a nod from her human sibling.
"He was serious about that!" she cried. "Azzy ate the rest of the snail pie!"
Asriel groaned again, still clutching his aching belly.
"He's pale," Frisk noted. "We need to help him! Who knows what could happen to him! Who knows-"
"Who knows how his stomach can hold so much snail pie?" Chara offered, genuinely concerned this time.
"Chara!" Aria ordered. "Get Azzy's bed ready for him!" Chara nodded and rushed back upstairs as Aria turned to Frisk, saying, "Help me get him upstairs!" They each took one of Asriel's arms and lifted him off his chair. Aria swore she could hear Asriel's stomach gurgling as she hoisted him up.
