Birthday Twins

(Crystal's POV)

I was in the park, sharpening my swordplay skills with Asriel by battling him. I'd been training on my own since he and Aria whooped Kirin and my butts last time we took on the two Boss Monsters. My twin katanas frequently locked with Prince Floofybuns's Chaos Sabers.

"You've gotten good!" Asriel commented, sending out a wave of rainbow fire with his blade.

I sidestepped the fiery wave, and fired an bright blue PSI-energy wave from my own sword. "Thanks!" I said. "I've been practicing." I then tried out a new skill.

I dematerialized one of my katanas and summoned and threw a PSI-energy shuriken.

"Whoa!" Asriel cried out, just barely summoning a Star Blazing shield to block the throwing star in time. "Nice throw. Didn't know you could do that!"

"Rin wanted me to learn how to use a ranged weapon," I said. I then threw five shurikens at once, partially to show off. Asriel countered by launching some fireballs, and our attacks cancelled each other out in a small explosion. We then locked blades one more time before Asriel forced me to the ground. He pointed his Chaos Saber at my chest.

"And it's over," he declared. He then helped me up.

"Good match," I said. "Kris would be impressed." Asriel had told me about his new adoptive brother, who was the third child the Dreemurrs had that had a SOUL of Determination. He told me about how he could summon two double-blades swords at once, which was actually quite impressive. I really wanted to meet him so he could teach me that skill. Which reminded me...

"Asriel?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Would you like to come over to my family's place tomorrow?"

The question caught Azzy off-guard. "Why?" He asked.

"Because tomorrow is Kirin and my 17th birthday," I said. "Dad said I could invite you if you wanted."

"Really?" He asked. "But what about—?"

I chuckled. "Yes, the rest of your family's invited as well. Kris included."

I smiled at Cris. "Thank you," I said. "I'll talk to Mom and get back to you as soon as I can."

(Chara's POV)

As soon as Asriel came home (interrupting the game of Yahtzee I was playing with Kris and Aria), he told us about what Crystal had said.

"She's inviting us over for her and Kirin's birthdays?" Kris asked. "But the Dracons don't know me."

"Crystal knows a little bit about you," Asriel said. "Especially that technique with the double-bladed swords, which she wants to learn."

"I'm in," Kris replied. "But what will Mom say?"

"Speaking of, where is Mom?" Asriel asked.

"Conference," I said. "She said she'll be back in..." I checked my phone, noticing a text from Mom. "Oh, she's on her way now, and will be home shortly."

I was proven right when Goat Mom came home, followed by Asgore and Frisk.

"Howdy," Asgore said.

"Hi, Dad, Mom, and Frisk!" Aria greeted thim. "Asriel said that Crystal invited all of us to her and Kirin's birthday party!"

"Is that right?" Toriel said. "Well, first things first, we need presents for them!"

"Awesome!" Asriel said. "Let's go get something for them!"
