(Kris's POV)

I woke up this morning with a good feeling about today. Asriel and Aria were already awake and dressed for the day. Asriel wore a green T-shirt with two yellow stripes around the middle. Aria was dressed in a light blue cloud-patterned shirt with a matching blue skirt and white leggings.

"Breakfast is ready," Aria said. "It's double-chocolate pancakes!"

"Chara's request," Asriel said, chuckling. "How'd you sleep?"

I scratched behind my floppy ear. (Yes, I was in my goat form. Long story short, I'm a hybrid.) "I slept fine," I said. "What'd you think, I tore my SOUL out in the middle of the night? I'd never do that; it'd give Goat Mom a heart attack."

Asriel and Aria both laughed, and my saying, "mY liFE iS pAiN" did little to calm them down. I had gotten that from a fan-written Transformers: Armada comic which made Hot Shot an idiot who spoke random, randomly-cased, non-sequitur sentences like that one I just uttered, as well as "i EAt YoUR baBiES" and, most infamously, "JaAm."

Admittedly, I might have a problem.

Asriel and Aria calmed down soon, though, and the three of us headed down to the kitchen and took our seats. Each of our plates were filled with still-warm (thankfully) pancakes, as well as an omelet.

"Good morning, my children," Toriel said. "Whatever was that laughing about?"

"Nothing," I said. I figured she wouldn't understand it.

"I see," the Goat Mom said. "In that case, eat your breakfast before it gets cold. We will discuss the plans once we're done."

"Got it," Frisk said. She was halfway finished with her omelet, but Chara's plate was devoid of his pancakes and omelet.

"What are you looking at my plate for?" The red-eyed human asked.

"Chara practically inhaled his pancakes," Frisk said.

"I did not!" Chara countered.

"Please, no fighting," Toriel scolded. "Kris, Asriel, and Aria, finish your breakfast."

The three of us nodded, and finished our food.

(Asriel's POV)

Once we were finished with the food and the dishes washed, all of us went into the living room to discuss the plan for today.

"I believe I told you that your mother and I are headed to an all-day meeting," Asgore said.

"You didn't tell us, I don't think," Aria said.

"Oh, I didn't?" Asgore asked. "I'm sure I did."

Toriel sighed. "Gorey, I told you to make sure you told everybody before the day of the meeting," she said. "And you said that you did."

Asgore chuckled embarrassedly. "My fault. I guess I wasn't paying attention."

"Both of you are going?" Frisk asked.

Toriel nodded. "Both of us."

"I told Tori that she didn't need to go," Asgore said.

"Of course I felt obligated to go," Toriel said. "I have to make sure that you don't make any hasty decisions. I'm sure we are all well aware of what happens whenever you do."

"But who's going to take care of us?" Aria asked. I was curious about that as well.

Toriel chuckled. "Well, it just so happens that Sans and Papyrus were practically after us to let you spend the day with them, as well as the night. I told them that I would have to ask you if you were fine with the idea." She paused. "You are fine with it, are you not?"
