(Kris's POV)
The next couple of months following last Christmas were busy as preparations for Frisk and Develyn's wedding took place. Frisk wanted everything... well, maybe not perfect, but just good enough for her and Develyn. I still couldn't believe it myself. Dev was actually a distant cousin of mine from my biological family, and now, he would be my brother-in-law. Asriel seemed particularly excited knowing that his family would be growing even further with the new member.
Okay, so maybe Dev was already considered part of the family, but the wedding between him and Frisk would seal the deal once and for all.
Currently, Frisk was planning on what flowers to use. She hadn't called the florist's shop yet, nor did she have any need to, since Asgore had already grown a selection of flowers, and was helping Frisk go over what ones to use.
"We could go with a combination of yellow and red, to symbolize your SOUL colors," Asgore suggested. "Of course, yellow roses symbolize friendship, so maybe that wouldn't be that appropriate for a wedding?"
"At least yellow roses are more appropriate for a wedding than black roses," Toriel replied as she walked by.
"That—that was one time," Asgore spluttered, blushing. One Valentine's Day, Asgore had accidentally given Toriel a black rose, which, in floral language, symbolized death or black magic. Toriel loved to bring that up just to fluster Asgore.
Toriel chuckled, and left Asgore and Frisk to continue their planning.
"Maybe orange, since it's a combination of red and yellow?" The monster king asked his daughter. "Or white, as it symbolizes purity?"
"I think I like the idea of red and yellow the best," Frisk said. "Maybe a few white ones thrown in there, since Vel's a human-dominant hybrid, and the white flowers would symbolize the monster part of him."
"Understood," Asgore replied. "I'll get started on cultivating the flowers. But before I do so, what kind of flowers did you want? Cosmos? Roses? Tulips?"
I'd heard enough. I wasn't a green thumb myself, so to me, flowers were flowers. I walked back to my room. Sorry, Chara's and my room. Frisk used to sleep in there with us, but she would be moving to a room where she and Develyn could sleep.
I got a little lost on the way there, as I still wasn't too used to the layout of the mansion that Omega had built for us last Christmas. Eventually, though, I found it, and I entered to the sight of Chara reading a manga. His electric guitar was on pegs inserted into the wall, with speakers stored in the corner.
"Got bored with Frisk and Asgore's wedding planning?" Chara asked.
"Yeah," I replied. "Wanna waste time playing Smash Ultimate?"
"Not in the mood," Chara said.
"You scared I'mma sic Little Mac on you and win with a 3-0 score?"
Chara slammed the manga shut. "Oh, that's it," he said. "You are asking for a pummeling. Deal. Me. In."
(Develyn's POV)
It was finally time. The day of the wedding had arrived at last. It was a painfully long wait just to make sure that everything was ready for the big day. My family all arrived, including my extended family and friends from Iceland. My friends had an argument at one point as to who was going to be my groomsman, but I had chosen Karl, since I had known him the longest. My grandparents congratulated me for the upcoming marriage and commented on how handsome I looked in my white wedding tuxedo.
"I hope Frisk likes it," I replied. "I'm not used to wearing this thing." I turned to Karl. "Got the wedding ring?"
Karl nodded, showing me the ring with a gemstone heart like the proposal ring I gave Frisk, only this time, the heart was half red, half yellow. The Dracon twins' mother, Beryl, owned a jewelry shop in the city, and she had given the ring I gave Frisk when Kirin told her about the proposal, free of charge. I recognized her handiwork with the new wedding ring as well.
Monsters and humans alike swarmed in the church where the wedding would take place, all taking their seats inside.
"It's time now," Karl said. "You ready?"
I nodded, and let Karl lead me to the alter. There, Alvin Boom, son of Gerson Boom, was waiting. Then, wedding music started playing.
Aria was one of the flower girls, scattering flower petals down the aisle with unbridled joy. Following this, Undyne, who had volunteered to be one of the bridesmaids, rushed in, apparently having suplexed Frisk before rushing down the aisle and slamming her in front of me, to a few scattered chuckles.
"Knock 'em dead, punk," Undyne whispered. Frisk smiled at her bestie as the fish monster rushed back up the aisle.
Frisk looked absolutely beautiful. She wore a white wedding dress with lace trimming and short lace sleeves. A crown of flowers adorned her head, with her wedding veil pulled back.
"Dearly beloved," Alvin began, "we are gathered here today to celebrate this momentous occasion. Today, a union between two hearts, two SOULs, is about to be realized, as the seeds of love, sown several years back, are about to reach full bloom. May these blossoms be cared for and nurtured forevermore."
I could hear Papyrus crying, to which Sans asked, "are you crying, bro?"
"OF COURSE NOT!" Papyrus retorted. "I JUST CAUGHT SOMETHING IN MY EYE!"
"what's that?"
"TEARS!" *cue Papyrus crying*
Alvin turned to me. "Do you, Develyn Fjaltneirsson, take Frisk Dreemurr to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, till death do you part?"
"I do," I replied without hesitation.
Alvin then turned to Frisk. "Do you, Frisk Dreemurr, take Develyn Fjaltneirsson to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, till death do you part?"
"I do." Frisk's smile was bright with joy.
"Then, by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss."
At that, Frisk leaned into me, kissing me as everyone cheered. A new chapter in life had just begun for the two of us.
(Aria's POV)
At the wedding reception, a huge cake was served, courtesy of Muffet's bakery. In addition, there was also champagne for the older people and sparkling water for the younger people. Everyone was chatting at once.
When I saw Frisk and Develyn together, I felt a little sad. Would Frisk be moving out?
"Not likely," I heard Omega's voice say. He, Niko, and Alpha acted as security guards during the wedding. "I made the mansion so Develyn could live there as well. Of course, they will still be going on a honeymoon, but they'll be back."
"Thanks," I said.
Develyn and Frisk walked over, their arms linked. "So, how's my little sister-in-law?"
"I'm so happy for you both!" I said, my tail wagging happily.
"Take care of Frisk," Omega said. "She's a special human." His voice took on an ominous tone as he added, "If you are unfaithful to her or hurt her in any way, I will hunt you down and make you pay."
Develyn's didn't flinch, but rather, met Omega's gaze with irritation. "Like that'll happen. I'm not afraid of you, Omega. I can take you on anytime, anywhere."
"Ignore him, Vel," Frisk replied. "He's just trying to rile you up."
"Perhaps," Omega replied, shrugging. "But I wouldn't press your luck."
And so, marriage! Also, there's no way Omega was being serious.
...
He was only joking, wasn't he?
Eh, whatever. Happy St. Valentine's Day!
