Mom and I got to her friends house by 6:30p.m. I went for a nice pink and yellow sun dress with strap sandals. My long hair flowed freely down my back. Michelle my mom's friends welcomed us with open arms. "Oh wow Rose, you wasn't kidding, Phoenix is stunning." she smiled at me, I felt awkward. "Please come in, come in." she said moving out of the way and letting us inside her large home, it was nothing like the large mansion next to our house, but it was larger than our house, it was actually welcoming. "Phoenix, this is my son John, my oldest boy Drake, and my beautiful daughter Kourtney. My husband is outside working the grill you will meet him shortly." I smiled and waved. "The house looks great Michelle, you really did a great job on the remodel." "Thank you." she said taking us into the livingroom." I sat down next to my mom. "Rose how about we get some drinks and let the kids talk." "Sure." My mom patted my knee and followed her friend into the kitchen. "So how do you like being here?" Kourtney asked taking a seat on the large couch, her oldest brother who wasn't bad looking at all also sat down in a large chair.
"I actually really like it." I said. Kourtney scuffed throwing her dark brown hair, that was almost as long as mind behind her. "Compared to Paris, I highly doubt it." she smiled. Drake was very tall, with dark hair and brown eyes kept looking at me, up and down, just like Aries did. He smirked and grabbed his cellphone and started texting someone. "Paris is great I won't lie but It feels more homey here, if that makes sense. Paris is business, and fashion." I said crossing my legs. "That is what she is all about...Fashion." Drake said not taking his eyes off his phone. For a minute I thought I heard a clicking noise but I wasn't sure. "You have got to tell me all about it." Kourtney said. "Sure, maybe I will take you there, when I head back before school starts." "Shut-up!!" Kourtney cheered. "We are going to be best friends." she continued. I laughed. "So tell me more." she chimed. So I did, telling her about everything in Paris, and that my dancing took me to see other great areas. It seems like the whole evening was about me, it was a little uncomfortable at times, but my mom was smiling from ear to ear.
The doorbell rang, and Kourtney's father excused himself from the table. Shortly after he came back in. "Drake your friend is here." he said taking his seat. I was looking a something on Kourtney's phone when I heard. "Aries, welcome. Are you hungry we have plenty of food." Michelle offered. "I am sorry I didn't know you had company, I was around and figured I was stop by and see if Drake wanted to do something." he said politely. He looked right at me and grinned. I sat back just looking at him. "Do you mind mom?" Drake asked. "Of course not, just be careful, but you guys should eat first." she said grabbing another plate. He continued to look at me just as I was looking at him. He had a pair of jeans and a black tshirt on. He looked really good. Drake cleared his throat and Aries looked away from me. "Thank you but I am not hungry," He told MIchelle. "Are you sure." "He is good mom. I won't be home to late." Drake said leaving his seat. "Goodnight." Aries said looking at me one last time and then both leaving. After dinner which was really good, I followed Kourtney up to her room who has done nothing but talk about the school and her other friend Justin. I sat on her bed and listened but not completely. I could not believe Aries came here and was friends with Kourtney's brother Drake. Her room was nice though, full of color and alot of space. I sat on her big bed while she went through her large closet.
"So your brother is friends with that Aries guy?" I asked touching one of her skirts. "OH yeah they have been friends for years. Drake is 19 and should of graduated last year but he got behind when he had his jet ski accident. I will turn 18 a few days before Christmas." she said grabbing a shirt that would match the skirt. "So what is his deal?" "Who Aries?" "Ya, I mean he is my neighbor but I don't know him personally." "Just that he is fucking hot right!!" I just looked at her. "Please girl, you should see his abs." she waved herself to cool off. I laughed. "All I really know is that, my brother and him have been friends for awhile, and they play all the sports in school. He is a bit of a rebel and loves girls, but never has relationships." "So no girlfriend." Aries doesn't do girlfriends, he just does girls." she explained. "I wouldn't get caught up with that mess." "Oh god, no I don't need no drama." I told her. She just smiled and headed back into her closet to show me more clothes.
Kourtney continued with her fashion show and continued talking. She had also informed that Drake and Aries don't go to our school but the Private school next to ours. "Sometimes we have to share their field due to whatever reason and its so annoying those prep school boy might be smart, and good looking and well hell even smart, but so immature." I continued to laugh. "So why don't you go to the private school?" "I need real people in my life." she told sitting on the bed. "Drake only goes there because of the sports. I mean he is smart to, but its mostly sports, he was lucky to don't have so much damage to his knee after his accident. Full recovery and back on track for his scholarship. My parents are so proud." she said. I got up and headed to her window opening it, grabbing a cigarette from my bag. "DO you mind?" I asked. "Not unless I can get one. Drake usually buys them for me but hasn't been to the store yet. I should text him and remind him." she said grabbing her phone. It started ringing. I lit my cigarette up blowing it out the window. "What do you want pest." he said. "Did you remember to grab me a pack." "I will before we leave." "Where are you?" "At Aries swimming and hanging out." he said. "Oh boys will be boys." she chuckled. "Ya ya. Is your friend still there?" "She is why?" "NO reason." he laughed. "Bye loser." "Later brat," I looked at her puzzled. "Why did he want to know if I was still here?" "Who knows." she lit her cigarette. "Boys are idiots." she said. We both laughed.
When we got home. I kissed my mom who had to be up for a 12 hours shift the next day. I made some popcorn and grabbed some waters and headed to my room. Kourtney and I will definitely be great friends. We got along really well and she did answer some of the burning questions I had when it came to my annoying neighbors. I changed into a pair of boy shorts and a white tank top the was more than a sports bar than an actual top but I didn't care, it was hot and muggy out, and the breeze from the balcony felt good and cooling my skin down. I headed out to the balcony and of course smoked a cigarette. I could hear music playing from the mansion. They must still be parting. I put my cigarette down and stretched. I grabbed my popcorn and laptop and sat outside, at least one good thing about the party was that the music was really good. I started to move to the music. My moves flowed with the music and I tried to find it on YouTube, so I could save it and use it for one of my routine. My hips swayed from side to side, and my eyes closed to enjoy the moment. I lifted my hair with my arms and continued to sway. This would be a great duet, but I am sure I could do something with it by myself.
I stopped when I heard some voices. I looked around but didn't see anyone or anything. It was really dark, and the wall of stone and greenery blocked any view. It felt like eyes were watching me, so I smiled and grabbed my things and headed inside.
