Lan Zhan stopped outside the shop and checked his phone one more time. Google was telling him Lotus Silks was the only place to sell this type of silk fabric, and ordinarily, he would have sent someone to buy it, but the window displays during Easter had caught his attention.

Lan Zhan would never admit it, but he had stalked this shop and its enthusiastic employee on every social media platform there was, even going so far as to follow him on Facebook and Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr, checking out his posts whenever he had the time.

It was only today, and out of desperation that Lan Zhan had boarded the bullet train from Gusu to come here.

Even today, the display was a show-stopping feast for his eyes. For Valentine's Day, both small windows were decked out in gorgeous red shades. Scarlet chiffon swirled around a model's feet, over a layer of shimmering crimson satin silk, and burgundy velvet dropped in a puddle from her hand. The background was an eye-catching white organza with little sparkling LED lights twinkling at him, daring him to walk in.

The model on the other side was wearing a red hat in a provocative pose with a rakish tilt, her matching silk taffeta dress poofy and bold, taking up all the space. Diamonds winked back at him from the velvet backdrop where they were encrusted into the pile fabric, enticing him.

He wondered if the creative mind behind these masterpieces was going to be just as attractive in person....

Lan Zhan pushed open the door to melodious chimes, and Wei WuXian, said employee of Lotus Silks, shot up from behind the counter, where he had been picking something up from the floor.

Nothing could have prepared him.

A bolt of desire hit Lan Zhan’s chest with the impact of a tank as golden eyes stared into silver startled ones.

Lan Zhan had seen Wei WuXian in his pictures of course, but real life Wei WuXian was ... simply gorgeous.

So Lan Zhan took his time to fully drink in his beauty, for the first time in his life, allowing himself the luxury of indulgence.

Wei WuXian was wearing a red shirt with his sleeves rolled up to reveal sinewy arms. The shirt was tight, molding to all the grooves and curves of his chest and Lan Zhan could tell that he wasn't wearing a vest. On the pocket over his heart, was a tiny embroidered black rabbit.

It was a good sign.

Wei WuXian had tied his hair up with a matching red ribbon in a messy bun, tendrils tinged in red highlights escaping to frame his beautiful face. Those wonderful silver eyes were staring back at him in a rapturous awe, widening slightly and crinkling at their edges to suggest that he laughed often and deeply.

That was a good thought.

Lan Zhan wanted him to be happy.

He had a nose piercing, a silver diamond twinkling on his right side, and a wonderful little black mole under his lip on the left side. It balanced out his face in just the right way.

His skinny black jeans were held up with a black diamond studded belt with a flute on the clip.

It suited him.

Lan Zhan smirked at the knowledge of being thoroughly checked out, growing in those ever widening starlight eyes. They were beautiful by themselves, reminding Lan Zhan of a forgotten time and place, their jewelled depths holding the key to unlocking some kind of mystery.

He found it difficult to look away.

"Hello!" Wei WuXian greeted him cheerfully.

The stranger had walked in, just when Wei WuXian had bent to pick up a fallen pen. As he righted himself, he was shocked by the shiver that ran through his body when he looked into amber eyes, those golden flecks mesmerizingly beautiful.
