Wei Ying whirls around immediately.

Just two feet away stands a God.

There's no other words that can do him justice, because Lan Zhan looks that great.

He's wearing dark glasses over the most perfect face, so beautiful as to be intimidating. He takes the phone away from his ear, switching it off and slipping it into his trouser pocket.

Wei Ying might be drooling, but he doesn't care.

Lan Zhan is wearing a white linen shirt, short sleeves that show off his dragon tattoo in all its glory, climbing up his arm to his shoulder. And Wei Ying's name is on the inside of his wrist.

His linen trousers are a pale beige, and he's wearing the most manly pair of sandals Wei Ying has ever seen before.

His feet are running even before he's understood this, his body moving towards his soulmate in one fluid, natural action.

Lan Zhan only has time to lift up his sunglasses so they are perched on top of his head, before he gets an armful of Wei Ying.

"You came!"

Wei Ying has thrown his arms around his neck, burying his face against that soft, smooth skin.

He doesn't care that he's just left his siblings behind, nor about Jiang Cheng's ceaseless annoyance, or of his ShiJie's gasp of shock.

All that matters is right here, in his arms.

"Sweetheart, please don't cry." Lan Zhan is holding him close, in a tight embrace.

There's no reason Wei Ying can think of as to why he's crying, and he's embarrassed because the tears won't stop, but he can't let go of Lan Zhan yet.

"I came as soon as I could. Ditched my brother and my uncle, but well, I just couldn't wait anymore."

His deep voice is smooth, and he's talking right inside Wei Ying's ear. It's enough to sound like their phone calls.

A few moments pass by and then Jiang YanLi says, "A-Xian, aren't you going to introduce us?"

Wei Ying is still trembling with shock, but he steps back obediently, and Lan Zhan immediately misses his warmth. But Wei Ying is rubbing at his eyes and Lan Zhan cannot tolerate that at all. He brings out the white handkerchief from his pocket and bats Wei Ying's hands away gently, wiping away his tears with the soft cotton cloth.

He hears Jiang YanLi humming and awwing at that, but right now, Wei Ying is his only priority.

"Are you alright?" Lan Zhan has to bend a bit so he can look at Wei Ying properly, to see for himself if he is.

And he's not prepared to be floored again.

He'd hopped off the ferry at the docks and messaged Wei Ying, asking him where he was. Usually, Wei Ying managed to answer quickly if he wasn't otherwise engaged, and so Lan Zhan was a little disappointed.

But instinct had him dialling Wei Ying anyway, because a too-familiar red ribbon was swaying in the breeze in front of him, and Lan Zhan thought it was too good an opportunity to miss, meeting Wei Ying as soon as possible.

When Wei Ying picked up his phone, mirroring the person in front of him, Lan Zhan knew he'd found him.

Wei Ying from a distance was beautiful.

Lan Zhan only had his memory from three weeks back to rely upon, but it was crystal clear.

Or, at least he thought it was.

Looking at Wei Ying now?

Lan Zhan had no words.

Wei Ying's gorgeous silver eyes were so expressive, with dewdrop moisture still clinging to his impossibly long lashes. Lan Zhan thought he could lose himself in them, they were so bright and shiny with little flecks of granite glittering upon a moonlit sea. Lan Zhan felt something stutter in his chest at their beauty.
