Cutting Measures Part 5

When Wei Ying woke up to the sound of his stupid alarm clock, there was a weird noise when he switched it off. It came again when he shifted so he opened his bleary eyes, sniffed and a faint smile appeared on his face, because that was coffee...

But it was cold so he padded to the kitchen and heated it up. Then he went back to his bed and saw the note.

The paper had been making all that noise...it was from Lan Zhan!

Wei Ying opened it, full of excitement to read.

Hey Beautiful!

By the time you read this, I'll probably have landed in Yilling, but you should check your phone. Call me any time, message me if you're feeling lonely because I will want to hear your voice.

You must promise to look after yourself! That means no skipping lunch, or dinner or breakfast...or I will punish Wei Ying when I get back.

Make sure you eat breakfast today too.

I'll be back before you know it.

Wei Ying grabbed his phone and saw the picture. He blushed at the caption "this is my screen wallpaper now".

Lan Zhan was so sweet!!!

He clutched his heart, wanting to swoon. How lucky was he??

And that reminded Wei Ying, he had a date to plan, a spectacular one...

But then, as he thought about it, he didn't actually know what Lan Zhan would like to do. In fact, he didn't even know what Lan Zhan’s job was...

So now what?

If they wanted to do something really soon, sooner than Sunday, then it would have to be something fun at night because Wei Ying didn’t get a day off. And if it was a daytime activity, then they'd have to wait until Sunday again.

The beeping from the microwave brought him out of his thoughts and he went to collect his hot drink.

How thoughtful of his boyfriend to get him breakfast? Wei Ying hummed appreciatively while taking his first sip.

"Good morning my love!! Thank you for the delicious breakfast!" He texted, simultaneously taking a bite out of a cinnamon roll.

It was still a bit too chilly to try anything too adventurous for their date and also, he had to think about how much money he had left over after he budgeted for this week.

He Googled special dates and saw many nice ones only they weren't nice enough...and he wasn't trying to be too picky...but Lan Zhan had given him a wonderful gift of fond memories and Wei Ying was trying to outdo him.

LZ: Wei Ying is welcome...but will there be enough time to enjoy it??

Wei Ying glanced at his watch before firing off a quick reply.

WY : I can totally multitask! And I miss you already!!! I wish you were here...

The reply was instant.

LZ: So do I! I am going into a meeting now, but I will be available after a few hours. And  don't eat in the shower!
