CHAPTER SEVEN
"The crocodile's hope"

"Why would you take me away from there?!" Killian asked, annoyance and anger laced his voice, as he followed his sister onto the dock. Without saying a word, Lily lead her brother up onto the invisible ship before turning to face him. "I needed to get to her!" The angry pirate exclaimed. "Did you join in on this plan just to sabotage it?!"

"No." Lily said. "I know how the old man works. He has magic and you don't. How do you think that fight would've turned out when he showed up?"

Killian stared at his sister, not really having an answer. He scoffed and shook his head, annoyed that she was in the right.

"You were smart as a child. What happened to you?" Lily asked, looking at her brother and waiting for a response. The Killian she knew wasn't so reckless and always thought about his next move before committing to it; but she didn't know the Killian that was standing in front of her.

Lily shook her head, "you should be thankful I got you out of there when I did. I easily could've left you there for Rumpelstiltskin to deal with."

"You have done nothing but get in my way." Killian said. "I came here to get my revenge for what the crocodile has done. You may be my sister, but don't think I won't remove you from this situation if you continue to get in my way."

Lily laughed in her brother's face. "Oh, brother." She chuckled. "You don't stand a chance against me. The only thing that you have going for you is a hook for a hand."

Killian opened his mouth to say something, but Lily held up her hand to silence him. She grabbed hold of his arm and the two disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.

The Jones twins reappeared on a rooftop in the town with a view of Mr Gold's pawn shop. Killian looked confused as to why his sister had brought him there, but Lily had a slightly satisfied smirk on her face. "Take out your telescope." She said.

Doing as his sister told him, the pirate took his telescope out and held it up to get a closer look at the pawn shop. He could see the dark one freaking out while Belle watched helplessly. He watched as the dark one picked up a painting and threw it across the shop floor.

Killian slowly lowered the telescope and looked at his twin sister. A small cloud of purple smoke appeared around the witch's hand, and an old, tattered shawl appeared in the palm of her hand.

"What is that?" Killian asked.

"The only thing the old man needs to get what he wants." Lily answered. "It's the end of the line for his hope. Now, he's trapped here."

Later on that same day, Belle walked down the docks, glancing over her shoulder every so often to make sure she wasn't being followed. She was well aware about the hatred between Mr Gold and Killian Jones; and she thought that the pirate might've stolen what Mr Gold was so desperate for.

"Where is it?" She muttered to herself, looking around for the pirate's ship.

She noticed several seagulls perched on a seemingly invisible object. She grabbed a handful of seeds from a nearby container; and threw it onto the area below the seagulls. A small smile appeared on Belle's face when the seeds landed on and revealed the stairway leading up to the ship. She carefully walked up the stairs and crossed the invisible barrier.

She went below deck in order to search for the stolen shawl, when she heard a muffled voice yelling out. "Hello?"

"Um..." Belle quietly gulped. "Hello?"

"Down here!"

Belle walked over to a grate and lifted it up.

"Belle!" Archie smiled when she saw the brunette. "Oh, thank god! I thought you were one of those evil people!"

"Archie!" Belle said, sounding surprised. "You...You're...You're okay! You're alive!"

"Yes, I, uh..." Archie said, glancing down at his tied wrists. "Can you maybe help me out of this?"

Belle looked around and eventually grabbed a nearby sword, and used it to cut Archie's ropes. The cricket untied his own legs and climbed out of the hole.

"Go." Belle said. "Find Mr Gold. Tell him I'm here and bring him back to the ship."

"Wait, you're not coming with me?" Archie asked.

Before Belle could answer, a creaking noise could be heard above them. Somebody was there.

"Go! Go now!" The brunette whispered. "There is no time to argue!"

Archie hesitantly left his friend behind and left the ship.

Belle remained quiet for a couple of minutes until things fell silent again. That's when she continued her search of the ship to find the shawl. On a shelf, she found a locked box and a key next to it. She unlocked the box in hopes the missing shawl was inside, but she was disappointed to only find a few pieces of gold.

"It is very disappointing when you don't find what you want."

Belle spun around to see Lily standing behind her "I hear you've been looking for this." The witch said as she held up Baelfire's shawl. "I can't quite figure out the fuss about this tatty old thing. If I were you, I would've burned this and bought a new one.

"That doesn't belong to you." Belle said.

"Oh, it does now." Lily grinned momentarily before the grin quickly disappeared. "Well, it belongs to my idiotic brother now, but what's his is mine and all that."

Belle glanced around the room and noticed a gun on the shelf next to her. She quickly went to grab it but found herself magically frozen to the spot, just inches away from being able to grab the fire arm.

"I admire your loyalty." Lily said. "But helping Rumpelstiltskin? My dear, I'm afraid you're fighting a lost cause."

I'm currently trying to decide on what chapter I should have Lily tell Killian about everything she's been through. Should it happen sooner or later?
