CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE
"Don't let this darkness fool you, all lights turned off can be turned on"

Still with tears in her eyes, Lorelai sat at the dining room table with her hands wrapped around a warm cup of tea. She hadn't said a word since Regina had convinced her to go inside the house. Lorelai's scream had woken Adrienne up and she had joined them downstairs. But no matter what she or Regina said, Lorelai either wouldn't or couldn't talk.

"You have to say something, Lori." Adrienne said. "We can't help you if you don't tell us what's going on."

Lorelai quietly replied, "You can't help anyone. You can't stop it."

A frown appeared on Regina's face. "What are talking about, Lorelai? What's going to happen?" She asked.

"I saw him. I saw Evander. He was standing there, right in front of me." Lorelai said quietly.

"Lori, Evander's gone." Adrienne said.

Lorelai shook her head. "I saw him! I know I did but I-I can't tell if he was real or just in my head." She looked up at her sister and step-mother with tears in her eyes. "It wasn't just any normal premonition. Everything felt too real for them to just be that. I think they're both going to happen. I just don't know when."

"So, you saw Evander...what else?" Regina asked.

"Mother's death." Lorelai replied, her voice was barely above a whisper.

Slowly, tears began to gather in Regina's eyes. There was never any guarantee that Lorelai's premonitions would ever come true, but even the thought - the possibility - of them being true was no laughing matter.

Lily walked onto the docks, her black boots clunking across the creaky wooden flooring. She had caught wind that her mother and brother were waiting for her there; and sure enough, she found them sitting on a bench. Each of them looking as anxious as the other. "Well," she began, "whatever you have to say, spit it out. I don't have all day."

"Come sit." Alice said, gently patting the space between herself and her son but the dark one shook her head. "I'd rather not." She said.

Alice sighed quietly as she stood up. "We've talked with Rumpelstiltskin and he told us where he found you last night; and how you were. He mentioned that, in order for you to regain your humanity, you have to want to turn it on again. Do you?"
