CHAPTER SIX
"Baelfire's Shawl"

A large number of Storybrooke's residents had all gathered around Archie's casket and tombstone at the cemetery. They were all broken hearted and teary eyed, none of them were ready or wanted to say goodbye to their dear friend.

ARCHIBALD HOPPER
Friend and Conscience

Mary Margaret stood next to David as she read out a eulogy.

"Some of us knew him as Archie or Doctor Hopper. Others...he knew him as Jiminy. No matter what name we called him, we all knew him as a true friend. And even though he may be gone now, he will forever live on inside of us. Reminding us to be our best selves, to do the right thing and to always fight for what we believe in. So, let's not think of today as a goodbye, just as a way of saying...Archie, we will always be listening."

In the hold of the Jolly Roger, Killian was interrogating Archie; who was no longer gagged but was still bound and tied up. "Wait! No, please, don't!" Archie begged the pirate in front of him. He was desperate to get out of the situation he was in. Who wouldn't be?

"Shhh..." Killian said quietly as he crouched down in front of him.

Archie looked over at Lily, who was sitting on a barrel watching her brother interrogate the cricket in silence. "Help me, please!" Archie begged her.

"Don't look at her." Killian said, grabbing Archie's attention back. "As your patient, the Dark One must've told you all manner of secrets. Where is his dagger?"

"I-I don't know anything about a-a dagger." Archie said, stumbling over some of his words.

"You don't? Are you sure? It's his biggest weakness as far as I'm aware...unless there are others." Killian said, crouching down in front of Archie. "Tell me, doctor, does he have any other weaknesses?"

Archie didn't respond. He just continued to look at Killian in absolute fear.

"Very well." Killian smirked. "I've always wanted to dissect a cricket."

As Killian pressed his hook up against Archie's forehead, the cricket squirmed as he tried to get away from the pirate. "No! Wait. Wait, please!" Archie begged.

"Ah..." Killian smirked, taking his hook away. "That's more like it. Now, tell me, cricket, what is his weakness?"

At Mr Gold's pawn shop, the bell above the door sounded out as Belle entered the shop. Mr Gold, who was standing behind the counter, smiled when he saw her. "Belle, hi." He said.

"Hey." She greeted him. "What, uh, what's so wrong that you couldn't tell me over the phone?"

"I found a way for me to leave." Mr Gold beamed.

"You can cross the town line?" Belle asked.

"Indeed I can." He said. "I created a potion that I can pour onto an object that I hold most dear; and it will allow me to cross the town line while keeping my memories. I will still remember who I am."

"If you don't mind me asking, who are you looking for?" Belle asked.

"My boy." Mr Gold said.

Behind a painting on the wall behind him, Mr Gold reveals a hidden safe. After opening it, he takes out an old, well worn shawl and showed it to Belle. "This shawl belonged to my boy, Baelfire." He said. "It's all I have left of him."

"I don't suppose I could come with you?" Belle asked.

"No, I...I truly wish you could, Belle, but I only have enough of this potion for one object." Mr Gold admitted. He turned and put the shawl back into the safe. "You would be safer here anyway. I would be travelling to the land without magic, and there's no telling of the dangers there. This is my journey and I have to make it by myself."

At the library, Belle set about putting away a handful of books. As she turned a corner to put a book in it's place, she ran into Killian; who was standing there flicking through a random book he had picked up.

"Um, I'm sorry but the library isn't actually open yet." Belle said.

"Oh, I'm not here for the books, love." Killian said as he put the book away.

"You..." Belle said quietly as she took a step back. "You're the one who broke into my cell at the Queen's palace."

Belle dropped the books she was holding when Killian smiled at her and ran into the main part of the library. She turned around and saw Killian following her.

"You wanted to kill Rumpelstiltskin!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, I still do." Killian said as he stepped closer to Belle. "But right now, I'll settle for you."

Belle grabbed a cart full of books towards Hook; and he fell down with the books pilled on top of him. Killian freed himself from the book pile and ran towards the elevator where Belle had gone, but the doors were already closed.

Inside the elevator, Belle pulled her phone out of her pocket and called Mr Gold to tell him Killian was there and trying to kill her. But the phone signal was terrible, so the call was broken up. Belle only hoped that Mr Gold would come and save her before it was too late.

Outside the elevator, Killian continued banging on the elevator doors in an attempt to get them opened. But he quickly stopped when Lily appeared next to him. He gave her a puzzled look but she grabbed his arm without saying a word and the two disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke, just moments before Mr Gold rushed into the library to rescue his love.

"Belle?"

The elevator doors opened and Belle ran into his arms.

"It's okay." He said, holding the brunette in a tight hug. "It's okay. I'm here now."

"Where is he?" She asked quietly.

"I don't know." Mr Gold admitted. "But don't worry about him. I'm here to protect you."

At the Charming's apartment, Henry was laying on his bed staring at the wall in front of him. He didn't even pay any attention to Emma who had walked into the room to offer him a pop tart. She left the plate on the nightstand and went downstairs; back to her mother and the other funeral attendees.

Mary Margaret looked at Emma sympathetically after seeing her defeated look, "You're doing all you can, Emma." She said.

"That's what makes me feel awful." Emma sighed.

"Ladies?"

The two women looked up to see one of the dwarves, Leroy, walking over to them. "The dwarves have been thinking and we have to ask...when do we go back?" He asked.

"Go back where?" Emma questioned.

"The enchanted forest. Our home." Leroy answered.

"You want to go back?" Mary Margaret asked.

"We fought really hard to get back here." Emma said.

"I know but with Regina running wild after what she did to Archie, Storybrooke isn't as safe as we thought." Leroy said.

"We're going to find her." Emma said. "There are only so many places she can hide."
