CHAPTER FIFTEEN
"It was night when you died"

ENCHANTED FOREST
PAST, 1832

After many months of travelling, Lily had finally managed to make her way back home. Back to the home where she was born and raised. Her father, Brennan, had left with Lily, Liam and Killian in the middle of the night. She had no idea Brennan was going to flee and take the children with him.

With baby Lorelai bundled up in a blanket, Lily approached her childhood home. She called out to her mother but didn't receive an answer. She proceeded to walk up to the front door and knock several times, but still didn't have an answer.

"Maybe she's busy elsewhere." Lily said, looking down at Lorelai. She was a beautiful baby and Lily had been completely besotted by her since the day she was born.

Out of the blue, an arrow flew past Lily's head, narrowly missing her, and hit the wooden door in front of her. Another arrow was shot at her but she quickly caught it. She slowly turned around to see Alice drawing back another arrow.

"Mother, wait! It's me! It's Lilith." Lily smiled, hoping Alice would believe her. It had been a long time since they last saw each other and Lily's looks had changed a lot in that time.

Alice kept the arrow pointed at Lily for a few minutes while she studied her face. When she realised who was standing there, she lowered her bow and a huge smile broke out on her face. She ran over to Lily and dropped her bow at her feet before pulling her daughter into a hug. "You're alive!" She smiled with tears in her eyes. She pulled back from the hug and placed her hands on Lily's face. "Oh, my beautiful girl."

Lorelai made a sound and Alice looked down at her. "Who is this?" She asked.

"My daughter. Her name is Lorelai." Lily said proudly.

"She is beautiful." Alice smiled down at her young granddaughter. "Where are your brothers?" She asked, looking back up at Lily.

"We were separated." Lily said. She wanted to tell her mother that Liam and Killian had abandoned her on the ship, but she couldn't bring herself to say it.

"Well, I'm sure we'll be able to track them down." Alice said. "Why don't you come inside?" She smiled before entering the cabin; and Lily followed close behind.
