CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
"One Heart"
ENCHANTED FOREST
ONE YEAR AGOEveryone was gathered at the Evil Queen's palace where Snow, Charming and Regina were all arguing about what they should do. Aurora and Prince Phillip watched quietly, while Lily sat at the table with them, rolling her eyes. "You've gathered the entire kingdom for this? There's a Wicked Witch out there, just waiting to pounce; and pretending otherwise would be dangerous." Regina said.
"There's nothing dangerous about rallying our people." Charming said.
"You're announcing you're pregnant. It's not like you invented the wheel." Lily said.
The doors burst open and Belle entered, pulling her hood down to reveal her face. "Belle!" Snow smiled.
"Are you okay? When you and Neal disappeared, we feared the worst." Charming said.
"We went off to see if we could revive the Dark One." Belle said.
"What happened?" Regina asked.
"Neal was able to resurrect him." Belle sighed. "At the cost of his own life."
Regina smiled. "Rumple's alive."
But Snow's face looked completely shocked. "Neal is dead."
"I think so." Belle said.
"To which?" Lily questioned.
"Both." Belle replied. "You see, when Rumple saw that Neal was dying, he absorbed him, and Zelena got a hold of the dagger. Now, she controls Rumple."
Phillip and Aurora shared a worried look. "Maybe now isn't the time to announce the pregnancy. Regina is right. It's too dangerous." Aurora said.
"No, if we don't, we give into fear." Snow said. "But if we do, we give the kingdom what they need: Hope."
"We don't even know what this Wicked Witch wants." Charming said.
"Actually, we do. She wants your baby." Aurora admitted.
"She came to us when you were gone. Threatened us and our unborn child, unless we told her when you arrived in our land." Phillip said.
