Dreams

Ana and I were splinting to catch a flight. (That's all I can remember.)

I'm going to work out this morning, get ready for the day, and grind before my driving lesson because I don't have time to do so later. Why?

It's Patrick's birthday today.

Also known as Father's Day 2.0.

I don't know what's worse, Father's/Mother's Day or Ana and Patrick's actual birthdays.

They're both quite bad if you ask me.

Why did Patrick have to be born so close to Father's Day?!

Unfortunately, the Rupps are materialists.

So, if you were born on Christmas Day, you bet you're going to have two separate celebrations. Your birthday party and the family Christmas party.

The Rupps don't believe in "combined parties".

And yes, that means double the presents.

Not everyone has that privilege, so this is an unfair practice.

Only Brandon, Evie, Evelyn, and Amariah are fortunate enough to have this privilege.

Brandon and Evie's birthdays are right next to Thanksgiving, Evelyn was born two days before Christmas, and Amariah was born next to Mother's Day (every four years, it happens to fall on Mother's Day, however).

What about Patrick? His birthday is a few days after Father's Day, doesn't he also get a double celebration?

The answer to that is a big, fat, NO!

Why?

Ana hates him. She only loads up on your presents based on how much she loves the child.

On Christmas and Birthdays, Evie and Evelyn get the most gifts. Of course, I get the least.

One or two presents max, because I shouldn't be "spoiled"?

More like "so I have all the money I need to buy Evie and Evelyn a mountain of toys they don't need."

Daily Dose of Happiness

"I don't know how happiness could get any more perfect, but I think it would involve more puppies." -Ellen Degeneres

My perfect happiness would involve more: quality time with friends, in order to replace the quality time I never received from my parents.

Maybe I should call M<addison and Hunter to set up a Roblox playdate, since they always invite me to play with them, and I usually decline. (This didn't happen, but I was happy today anyways.)

We stayed up until 2:00 (AM) in order to switch my return flight. My parents and I decided that I would be travelling with them to California after all. I would be doing university visits while I'm there. A.K.A., the university that I'm going to pretend to go to for a year before running away. I would be travelling back home on Thursday afternoon, connecting through Salt Lake City, and arriving home in the evening instead of leaving Friday evening, to come back home in order to take the ACT on Saturday, as an unaccompanied minor. In addition, I would be flying from San Francisco to LA while on holiday in order to visit UCLA and USC (LA is 10 hours away from where I'm staying and traffic is AWFUL). Our flight would leave at 6:00 to LA and would go back to SFO the same day at 20:12. I'm super excited because I will be flying JetBlue for the first time! They don't have JetBlue at my home airport, CVG (take note of this airport and SFO, you will be travelling there a lot).

Ana and Patrick wanted all of us to come home Thursday as a family if it were possible in order to avoid the hassle of asking Amariah to pick me up and maybe take me to the ACT.

I advised against the idea and it worked.

The representative on the phone said that it would be much more difficult and expensive to switch all of our flights than to switch just me.

Thank science!

On Delta, if you're aged 15-17, you could travel as an adult, as long as you present a valid (government-issued) ID. It's not required, but it's encouraged.

I don't have my license yet and my parents said I'm "too tiny" for the airport and to travel as an adult. They said they would do it if it were a non-stop flight, but since I was connecting through Salt Lake, they wanted an escort for me, so they paid the $150 unaccompanied minor fee and filled out the required paperwork

This is going to be the BEST. HOLIDAY. EVER.
