Samurai POV:
"How much is a piece of fried meat?"
"Six silver."
I gave the shopkeeper his money and walked away while I was eating my food.
I have no idea how long I've been here, but it was starting to be nerve-racking.
No major events happened that would bring me to Dealmaker, be it from this timeline or mine.
"Where the hell is he hiding? What am I doing wrong?"
Boom!
Not far away in the distance, I heard the sound of something exploding.
"Dealmaker!"
I threw away my food and started to run in the direction of the noise.
It must be him! staying quiet for so long.
As I ran, I felt the ground under my feet shake, vibrations that wouldn't draw the attention of anyone except someone like me, who honed their senses to the limit.
In excitement, I jumped on the roofs of the house and dashed to the dirtiest corners of the city.
"My god."
It was a veritable battle.
People in ragged clothing surrounded a pair of teenagers who were doing their best to defend themselves without harming them.
But what caught my eyes was a pair of people fighting on the roofs.
One of them had bat wings on its back, a tail, and horns growing out from its head.
"Dealmaker."
Even if it didn't look like the one, I knew, I could immediately tell.
I reached for my sword and jumped into action, to kill that monster, but something happened.
"What?"
An invisible force took over my body, lifted me, and pulled me into one of the abandoned buildings.
When I broke through the glass, I made my body spin, so that I would land on my feet, my sword drawn out.
"Bravo, what a majestic entrance."
The room's ceiling and walls were entirely covered in black, horrible-smelling goo.
Moving on its own, the liquid gathered on the floor, and from it rose a humanoid figure with two burning eyes.
"Wh-Who are you?"
Even when I said these words, deep in my heart I knew.
The figure's face shivered as a voice started to emit out from it.
"It's been a while, my dear Samurai, but it saddens me to see that you couldn't recognize your Dealmaker. Did I change so much?"

- five minutes earlier, Dealmaker POV:-
"Finally."
After who knows how long, I managed to find it. The luminescent insects which were guiding me now arranged themselves into the shape of an arrow, pointing to my target.
