The night and the darkness never ended, being with him throughout that day.
Although the scenery resembled one from a fairy tale, he on the other hand found it tiring, at least now at that moment.
On other days the night was a refuge for him, a time when no one bothered him, where he could be alone in the quiet of his bedroom and where he took refuge from everything beyond his room door.
The darkness was his friend, being a very good listener, not bothering him and being there for him.
In the darkness it was only him and with his thoughts, with his memories, not even his shadow looked at him anymore.
For some, the darkness released not very pleasant emotions, one of them would be the fear that encompassed everyone in those moments due to various problems.
But for him the darkness did not mean fear but actually comfort, no one listened to him better than that one.
But now, on this day the darkness had seemed tiresome and for the first time he wanted the sun to rise and dispel that darkness.
Mikey was riding his motorcycle, alone this time, going back to the building he had left behind a few minutes later.
He was going back to the mess he left behind, not before dropping the girl off at her home where he had promised to bring her.
After he let her out of the vehicle, the two began a staring contest.
Also the boy knew he couldn't stay too far from the base, the others would ask questions and he didn't feel like finding any more excuses to use, so he knew he should go back.
After a final goodbye, he didn't know if it was going to be the last or not, he had slowly drive away from the girl's house leaving her behind.
But before turning back to the others for good Mikey turns right, going around the girl's house when he made sure she was inside.
He couldn't let anything else happen to the girl so he made a detour around her house to make sure no one had followed them and no one suspicious was anywhere near her home.
After two laps around the building, him doing one more just to be sure, he finally left that place.
Now Mikey roamed the deserted roads, taking his time, letting the wind blow through his hair, calming him down.
Only traffic lights and lamps illuminated the city, every house or apartment being asleep, no other light being present.
Mikey was in no mood to bother with what was going on at the moment, it was all very tiring. But he still went on, driving faster now, knowing the faster he finished the more peace and quiet he would have,
going through some red lights. Finally the large building had come into his line of sight, growing larger the closer he got.
He finally made it to the parking lot, leaving the vehicle there, then getting on the elevator and going to where the others were.
When the doors opened he first caught a glimpse of Sanzu working hard by the left wall, pushing the lifeless bodies away with his katana, shoving them aside where he had already made a big pile.
The Haitania brothers were on the opposite side doing the same, being rather bored and unmotivated, especially when it came to cleaning.
The rest were not in his line of sight, they had probably scattered, cleaning up in different places.
When the three sensed his presence they looked at him, Ran trying not to show his disgust at the head of the dead body he was holding in his right hand.
