PROLOUGE

I've been staring at the sea for half an hour now. Masyadong maganda ang dagat and yet nandito ako para mag trabaho. Don't get me wrong, I love my job. I love closing deals with clients but sometimes I feel lonely lalo na pag nasa ganitong lugar ako.

I'm in Matira Beach Resort in Bora bora, inaantay ko ang client ko na hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa dumadating. Dapat ay kagabi pa sila nandito. Well, at least I have time to enjoy the waves and the view. I sip on my buko juice. Scrolling through my emails, baka biglang hindi na pala sila makakarating.

I booked a 5 day stay here, once I signed the deal with the client pwede na akong umuwi or pwede kong enjoyin ang stay. I might as well enjoy my stay, hindi madaling puntahan ang bora bora.

Nag gabi na at wala pa din. Baka bukas. Tama, bukas pa yun dadating. I don't need to worry. Umakyat na ako sa kwarto ko. I sent him another email before ako kumuha ng beer sa ref. Why did I end up being alone?

I was on my 3rd beer when someone rang the doorbell in my room. Wala naman akong kakilala dito, hindi naman ako nag tawag ng room service? But I still opened the door and to my surprise, it was him. The person I was avoiding for years. I froze, sinong hindi? Pakiramdam ko panaginip lang. O baka lasing lang ako at nag hahallucinate na lang.

"Finally, I found you." His hug was so tight that I knew I wasn't dreaming or hallucinating. He was real.

He closed the door and locked it. "Wha the fuck are you doing here? How did you find me?" Gulat na gulat ako. I furrowed my eyebrows. I hate it when things don't go in my way.

I've been avoiding my past for 6 years and my past just got his way here, in Bora bora. So much for hiding!

"That's not important. Took me a while but here I am." Umupo siya sa kama matapos niyang ilapag ang bag niya sa sahig. I still can't believe that he's here. Parang halos wala namang nag bago sakanya he's still tall, singkit, fair, perfect body, and he uses the same perfume. I rolled my eyes.

"Umalis ka na." I said coldly, I don't want him here.

"Nope. I'm not leaving you." His words cut deep. Parang nabuksan muli ang mga sugat. I sighed in disbelief that I'm dealing with this. Tumayo siya sa harapan ko, not too close but not too far. He cupped my face and I allowed him.

"I will never let you go again." Nag uumpisa ng mag luha ang mga mata ko. Mga traydor, hindi ako dapat mag pakita ng kahit na anong emosyon. I need him to leave. But he was my weakness and I can't fight the tension building between us.

I looked up at him and wiped my eyes to stop crying. Even though I hate him, my body was so drawn to him like oxygen is drawn to a flame. Parang mababaliw ang systema ko ng ginala niya ang paningin sa mukha ko.

"You looked different." He rubs his thumb on my face to wipe away my tears. "You looked tired. Stop running away from me." I wanted nothing more than for him to touch me. I could hear his breathing, masyadong malapit ang mukha niya sa mukha ko.

"I missed you so much." He said. I'm out of words I took a step back at nakarating na ako sa wall. He planted his hands on the wall either side of my head.
