A week later..
We had been back in Mystic Falls for about a week now. Every day, the three of us would do laps around the property line. Today, was no different. We jog up to the stairs to the house, Tyler finally making it a few moments later. "Oh, look who it is Rae. Glad you could join us finally." Mason teases, smirking towards Tyler. "Jesus...you guys are...trying to kill me...I swear..!" Tyler says, before making his way up the stairs, opening the door to the house. "What happened Tyler? Thought you were the head of the football team..?" I ask teasingly. He shoots a glare towards me. Mason and I laugh at him. Stepping inside, Tyler groans, before taking off his shirt. "Woah, woah there Fabio, put it away, nobody wants to see that." I say, cringing to myself. Tyler rolls his eyes. "Seriously Rae..?" He asks. Mason chuckles to himself, before slapping Tyler's back. "Alright you two, knock it off. She is right though Ty. See that glowing ball of light in the sky? It's called the sun. You should use it sometime." Mason teases. Tyler chuckles. "Aww c'mon, not you too. Look, it's not my fault my jersey covers so much." Tyler says defensively. We all laugh, before grabbing some water.
"God, what was that, like seven laps?" Tyler asks. I laugh to myself. "Six." I say. "Nah, I'm pretty sure it was seven." Tyler says. Mason chuckles at this. "Sorry kid, but I don't count the last one." Mason says. "What? No way!" Tyler says. Mason and I laugh again. "You practically crawled it." Mason says. "What?!" Tyler asks. I laugh at his shocked face. "I think Grandma Lockwood actually passed you." I say. "In her walker, no less." Mason adds, even going as far as to make the motions you would to move said walker. Tyler rolls his eyes and chuckles. "Yeah, whatever. Okay, shoes off you two. Mud. Mom. Not cool with it." Tyler says. I scoff and wave him away dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, yeah." I say, before kicking off my shoes.
After catching our breaths, Mason speaks. "So, all this anger and aggression you were talking about. You notice the difference when you exercise?" Mason asks. Hearing this, I turn serious, and look towards Tyler, waiting for his answer. Tyler scoffs. "Dude, I played three varsity sports. I work out four times a week and run three. I'm gonna say no." Tyler finally answers. Hearing this, Mason and I exchange a glance. "Do you have episodes? I mean, what happens exactly?" Mason asks, playing it off as sheer curiosity, while in reality, we were measuring what exactly we were dealing with. If he's anything like me, running won't be much help. If I feel the rage building up too much, Uncle Mason and I break out the boxing gloves, and spar until I'm too tired to continue. Tyler sighs and shrugs. "It starts out normal. I mean, I get angry. Typically over nothing." Tyler says, wiping the sweat off his face. "I mean, I'm an angry guy. You know? It just sort of...amplifies, and then I go off." He explains further. "Do you Black out?" I ask, catching Tyler's attention. "Yeah...yeah actually I do. It's...like I-" I finish his sentence for him. "Go blind with rage?" I ask. His brows furrow. "You...know of it..?" He asks. I scoff and stand. "Know of it? I practically invented it. Isn't that right, Mason?" I ask. Mason chuckles and nods. "Oh yes she did. In a real pain in the a** way, too." Mason says with a smirk. "Oh, well damn. Glad you were the one to deal with her then." Tyler says. Mason chuckles and nods his head, before looking to me. The look in his eyes, told me he wanted me to ask the next part. Seeing this, I sigh, and nod, before looking to Tyler, who was heading to the stairs.
