A few hours after fleeing the apartment, I open the door to the Grill, and step inside. However, as I do, something crunches underneath my boot, catching my attention. Looking down, I lift up my foot, seeing tons of broken glass on the ground. I furrow my brows as I look around the empty Grill. "Hello..?" I call out after hearing some noise from the back. After a few moments, footsteps find my ears, before a middle-aged woman comes out. "Oh, sorry, I must not have locked the door. The Grill is closed until we get a repairman to fix everything." She explains. Looking around again, the scent of smoke I hadn't noticed before, finds my nose. "What happened here?" I ask confused. "Faulty wiring we think. An hour or so ago, we had abfire break out and all the light bulbs blew at once. Alot of people were hurt from the glass shattering. For everyone's safety, we chose to close down until everything gets fixed." She explains. A fire and every light bulb blew at once..? Sounds like more than just faulty wiring.. As I think that to myself, I remember the Warlock's anger. I bet he had something to do with it.. Deciding it's best to leave, I give her a small smile. "Sorry to hear that, it must've been pretty scary. I'll let you get back to work." I say, before leaving her behind.
Making my way home, I run over all the information I found out today. The brothers are looking for some Witch Burial Ground, The Warlock is out of reach now that he's gone on a rampage. Katherine somehow managed to get out of the tomb. And as if that wasn't enough of a problem, the only one that could possibly calm him down is being held hostage and kept dead-but-also-not-dead by some special dagger at the Salvatore household.. Sighing, I shake my head. Dare I even ask what more could go wrong..? Shaking my head again, I try to figure out where to go from here. If Elijah was actually dead, I'd probably try to take mom, meet up with Tyler, and run far away from Mystic Falls.. I sigh again. But, since Elijah is still technically alive...the deal I made has to be fulfilled. Running away could possibly end with two Originals wanting us dead...I'm not willing to risk their safety.. Knowing what had to be done, I sigh in annoyance, placing my hand over my forehead. Guess there's only one choice I have...I have to finish what Luka and his father started..
Shaking my head, I rub my temples. I have a feeling that I'm going to regret this later.. Groaning, I look in the direction of the Salvatore household. Well, I suppose there's a couple things going for me...the brothers will be too busy keeping a close eye on Katherine and making sure Elena is safe, while also looking for the Burial Ground...now's the perfect chance to find a way inside.. Nodding to myself, I continue. But first, I need to make a plan.. I think to myself. Charging in blindly won't work, I'll need to be smart about this. Get an idea of the best time slot to get inside unnoticed.. With that, I turn back in my original direction. As I do, I notice a colorful sign on one of the street lights. Furrowing my brows, I walk over to the sign, and read it's contents. 60's Dance at the high-school...that's a couple days from now.. I think about this for a few moments. Elena's still in high-school...which means she'll be going to the dance...which means.. With this, I can't help but smirk. Bingo..
Damon's P.O.V.
The next day..
Elena, Stefan, and I sit in silence in the house, lost in thought, after Elena explains about her unwanted visitor showing up earlier today. So, Isobel and John are both here now.. Elena is the first to speak after a while. "Do you think Isobel was telling the truth? That word's gotten out about the Doppelganger?" She asks. "Look, I don't trust a single word she says, but, I think we'd be stupid to ignore the warning." Stefan says. Elena nods in agreement. "Y'know, you should just stay here. It's better for us to keep an eye on you." I say with a wink. "What, in the house that Any Vampire can enter? No, her house is safer." Stefan says. "Well, then we'll stay there." I say. "Is that the plan, neither of you let me out of your sight again?" She asks. "Considering everytime we have before, you think it's a good idea to run to your murderer/Werewolf bestie? Yeah, that's it. But, please, let me know if you come up with a better one." I say with a taunting Smirk. Elena just gives me a look, before rolling her eyes, and sighing. "Well, then one of you two bodyguards is gonna have to come with me to the Lockwood Luncheon." She says.
"That'd be me." Stefan volunteers. "Not me. I've Witch stuff to attend to with Bonnie." I say. "Does that mean you're taking her to the--?" I cut her off with a silent shush, right before Katherine comes in. "Don't get quiet on my account. If you have a plan to combat the impending Vampire doom, please, do tell." Katherine says looking over at all of us. We remain silent, which annoys her. "Seriously. What is the plan to get us out of this mess, hm? I delivered you a Moonstone, three Werewolves, and a dagger to lure and kill Klaus, and right now, all you have is a She-Wolf that hates you, and the Moonstone...or so you tell me." Katherine says. "No, we have it." I say. "Then, where is it?" She asks. I smirk at her. "It's in a Very Safe Place." I say, knowing I annoyed her by keeping secrets. "I've been honest with you. It's time to return the favor." She says with a glare. "Then let me be honest with you. Don't mistake the fact that we haven't set you on fire in your sleep, for trust." I say with a Taunting smirk. Katherine glares at us. "Fine. Be that way." She says, before rolling her eyes, and walking away.
Once she's gone, I look to Stefan. "You gonna be alright going into the She-Wolf's territory?" I ask. Elena sighs. "How many times do I have to tell you, Rae isn't interested in revenge. All she cares about is Tyler and her mom's safety." Elena says. I give her a mocking smirk. "I don't buy it." I say. "We'll be fine, Damon. Don't forget she helped us fight that night in the woods." Stefan says. I sigh and raise my hands. "Fine, fine. If you say she isn't a problem, then I'll leave it be. But when she does become a problem; and she will; all bets will be off." I say, before standing, and walking out of the room.
Author's Note: Rae becoming a problem? Perish the thought. >;)
