Stefan's P.O.V.
An hour later..
I silently walk into the Lockwood Study from the balcony door. Tyler is just opening a laptop, when he senses my presence, and tries to flee. Unfortunately for him, I use my Vampire speed to cut him off. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanna talk." I say. He swallows nervously, before speaking. "Then why'd you break in..?" He asks. "Would you have let me in otherwise?" I ask. He's silent at this, until Mrs. Lockwood calls his name. "Tyler?" She calls out. He quickly tries to flee again, but I pin him to the wall, earning a quiet grunt from him, before I tell him to shush. "Shh, not a word.." I warn him, showing my Vampiric eyes. "Tyler..?" Mrs. Lockwood calls out again. Seeing there's no response still, I hear her sigh. "I'm leaving for the Memorial." She calls out again, checking the entrance of the study, but nothing more. Seeing Tyler was still nowhere to be found, she leaves the house behind.
Once we hear the car pull away, Tyler resumes his struggle against me. I do not let him go until he calms down. Once he does, I remove my hand from him. "Maybe we're getting off on the wrong foot here.." I say, taking a couple steps back. Seeing this, he immediately puts his tough guy act on again. "What happened to Mason?" He asks. I sigh, rolling my eyes. "Tyler, there's alot for us to talk about.." I say, trailing off as I see him try to escape again. I quickly grab ahold of him again. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Without a Full Moon, you are no match for me. Now, I promised your sister that I wouldn't hurt you, so why don't you chill out, and have a seat." I say strictly. Hearing this, he narrows his eyes, before reluctantly taking a seat. Sighing in relief, I lean against the desk in front of him. "Look, about Caroline, no matter what her flaws are, when push comes to shove, you want that girl on your side. She's your friend. Stop being a d**k to her." I say calmly. Hearing this, he scoffs. "I thought Vampires hated Werewolves." He says.
I roll my eyes. "That's some leftover idea from another time. It doesn't have to be that way. We goto the same school. We have the same friends. We keep the same secrets. This could work, Tyler. I mean, it's your home. It's my home too. I want this to work." I say. He nods, right before his phone starts to vibrate. Hearing this, we both immediately tense up, right before I see Tyler's eyes shift towards his cellphone. He looks back and forth between me and his phone. Unfortunately, Tyler doesn't hesitate for very long, and quickly grabs his phone, answering it immediately. "Help, help!" He says desperately. I quickly snatch away his phone, only to see he had already hung up. Fearing the worst, I speak. "Who's number was that, hm?" I ask. He doesn't answer. That was all I needed to see. Sighing, I toss his phone onto the desk. "Dammit, Tyler, I am trying to save your life. Can't you see that?" I ask him annoyed. This is not going to end well..
A few hours later..
It was now dark outside, but I was still no closer to getting through to him, than I was before. This kid...let's hope Rae can get through to Jules before they do something stupid.. "You wanna be friends, great. We're friends. Will you go now?" Tyler asks stubbornly. I sigh in frustration and shake my head, as I continue to pace. "I don't know what else to say to you, Tyler. I came back to this town because I wanted a life. I wanted to exist where I could have friends, and where I could build a family. I have that here. We can both have that." I say, sitting down before him. He sighs and shakes his head, averting his gaze rebelliously.
Raelyn's P.O.V.
As I'm walking through the woods surrounding Mystic Falls, searching for Jules, the sound of a gunshot, and a scream of pain echoes quietly through the trees, making me come to a halt, and look in that direction. I could tell it was still quite a distance away, but something told me that I should follow the sound. So, I quickly set off in that direction.
Stefan's P.O.V.
As Tyler is silently glaring at me, my phone goes off, catching my attention. Taking out my phone, I look at the caller I.D. Caroline was calling me. Looking at Tyler, I stand, and answer the call. "Hey, everything okay?" I ask. "That depends...how badly do you wanna keep her alive..?" An unfamiliar voice asks, immediately causing concern. "Who is this..?" I ask. "Ask your brother. Where's Tyler?" She asks. I finally put the pieces together and shake my head. "Jules...where's Caroline?" I ask immediately, earning a confused look from Tyler. "You made a mistake, Stefan. I'm gonna give you a chance to fix it." She says. "Where is she?" I ask seriously. "Right here. You want proof?" She asks before I hear her open a door. "He needs proof." She says to someone, right before the sound of a gunshot, followed by Caroline's scream finds my ears. I flinch, clenching my fist. Hearing the same thing I did, Tyler is immediately worried. "What's happening?" He asks confused. I ignore him and narrow my eyes. "Hurt her again and you're dead." I threaten. "I hurt her again and she's dead. Bring Tyler to me. The clearing by Wickery Falls. You have 20 minutes until she dies." Jules says, before ending the call. Hearing this, I worriedly look to Tyler.
