30- Unwanted Company..

Raelyn's P.O.V.

The next day..

It's a little after 2pm, when I'm awakened by constant loud knocking at the front door. Sighing, I groan, and climb out of bed, before walking downstairs. Whoever this is better have a damn good reason for waking me up.. With that thought, I yank open the front door, only to see Elena. Oh, great.. I sigh in annoyance, leaning my head against the doorframe. "Shouldn't you be in school?" I ask with displeasure, as I rub my eyes tiredly. "Something's come up.." she says. I sigh and look to her. "Aaand you're at my door why..?" I ask impatiently, wanting to move her along. "Because I think it's something you might want to hear." She says. "I highly doubt it." I say, trying to shut my door, only to have her stop me from shutting her out. "What are you..? Elena, let go." I say. "It's about what happened yesterday." She says, catching my attention. I stop my hand immediately. What happened...yesterday..? Does she mean the rescue or..?

I snap out of my curiosity, shaking my head quickly. Doesn't matter, it's done. It's over. We escaped. Elijah's dead. We're safe now. There's no reason for me to stay involved. Without speaking, I try once again to close the door, but she pulls the door back again. "Seriously Elena? I'm not interested! Now let go!" I say annoyed. "Well you should be! It's about The other Originals!" She says, making me stop in my tracks. The...other Originals..? No, don't tell me they're already..! I don't finish that thought, sighing to myself, before looking to her. "Do the Salvatores even know you're here right now..?" I ask. She averts her gaze, and shakes her head. Seeing this, I sigh in defeat, shaking my head.  "Then you shouldn't be here. If anything happens to you, Tyler and I will be the first ones they'll come after." I say. "I know, but it's important." She says. I narrow my eyes skeptically. "Not if it means risking my brother's life, it isn't." I say.

"Then don't involve him." She says. I laugh humorlessly. "I don't have to, because as far as those brothers of yours are concerned, he'll automatically be involved, just by knowing me!" I say, whipping my hand to the side of me. Hearing this, Elena goes silent, averting her gaze. I sigh and shake my head. "Look, Elena...you have to understand, I already lost my Uncle because of those two. Now, I don't know why they felt the need to kill him, and unfortunately, unless Uncle Mason magically comes back from the dead, and tells me...I never will.." I say, trailing off, to compose myself again. Once I do, I look back to her. "I appreciate your concern, I do. But I'm sorry, I can't risk Tyler's life anymore than I already have. So, whatever it is that you came here to tell me, I kindly ask that you keep it to yourself, and leave us be." I say. Elena's silent for a while, and just for a second, I think she's going to listen. However, instead of listening, she sighs, and looks to me again. "Rose showed up last night an-" I cut her off. "Okay, thank you for coming, I'm gonna go now." I say, once again, attempting to shut her out. "Will you just listen to what I have to say?!" She snaps at me, placing her foot in the way, so I can't close the door. I narrow my eyes in annoyance. "Why should I?!" I snap back at her. "Because The Originals are coming to Mystic Falls!" She says, making my eyes widen. The Originals...are coming here..? Worry rises in my chest, knowing full well what that meant. Dammit...how the hell am I suppose to stay out of it now..?! If what she says is true then...Tyler's most likely going to be in danger too.. With this thought, I sigh, and open my door. "Tell me everything you know." I say. Hearing this, Elena nods, and explains everything she heard, along with the plan she came up with.
