Once we make it back, Elijah and I meet up with Klaus, to tell him about the Salvatores wanting to have dinner, and negotiate a truce. Although Klaus refuses the idea at first, Elijah manages to convince him to do it after a while. After agreeing, Klaus mentions, that it would probably be better for me to stay in my room during the dinner tonight, not wanting to give Stefan any chance to kill another of his Hybrids. This was what we had hoped he'd say, so I would be able to carry out my end of the plan, without attracting attention.
So, seeing it was going the way we'd hoped, Elijah agrees to Klaus' decision. With that done, I make my way out of the room, so they could begin the preparations for their dinner. However; instead of going immediately to my room; I make a slight detour. Let's hope Elijah knows what he's doing.. With that thought, I grab a few blood bags from the fridge, before making my way towards the room with the coffins, while Elijah keeps Klaus distracted.

Elijah's P.O.V.

An hour later..

As we're finishing up our meal, I speak. "So, why don't we move this evening along, and discuss the terms of this proposal." I say, motioning for Damon to speak. "It's very simple. Klaus gets his coffin back, in exchange, he and the Originals; along with their extended family; leave Mystic Falls forever. Me, Stefan, and Elena live happily ever after, with no grudges." Damon says, taking a drink. "The deal sounds fair, brother." I say, glancing over to Niklaus. Niklaus sighs and leans forward. "I don't think you understand. Elena's Doppelganger blood ensures that I will always have more Hybrids, to fight those that oppose me. I will never leave her behind." Niklaus says, before taking a drink, and standing up from the table. "But, say I do leave her here, under your protection. What then? How long before one of you turns her into a Vampire? Or worse, how long before she dies, caught between your feuding? You see, each one of you truly believes that you're the one that can protect her, and that is simply a delusion, Gentlemen. The worst thing for Elena Gilbert is the two of you." He says. A long Silence falls around the dinner table at these words. But, after a few moments, Damon speaks. "I'm gonna get some air.." Damon says, before starting to walk away. Sighing, I speak. "Let me deal with this." I say to Niklaus, before following after Damon.

A few moments later..

As Damon and I return, Damon speaks

As Damon and I return, Damon speaks. "So, what do you say Klaus? Time for you to put something on the table. We've made our offer, now you counter." Damon says, stopping next to Stefan, while I walk past them, and stop next to the chair Klaus sits in. "Okay. I offer Elena's future happiness. You see, what she needs right now is to be rid of you lot, and to fall in love with a Human. Maybe that nice football player. You know, the Blond one." Klaus says. "Matt Donovan? Really?" Damon asks unimpressed. "Yeah, why not? They'll marry, live a long and fruitful life, and pop out a perfect family." Klaus says with a shrug. "And continue the Petrova bloodline. Every few hundred years, you'll have a new Doppelganger to drain, and never run out of Hybrids, right Klaus?" Stefan asks.
