"Hey, what do we have here? Looks like someone's having a party of their own.." The Salvatore brother says, with a friendly smirk. Jenna and Ric immediately go quiet. "Damon." Jenna says, her smile fading immediately, before noticing Rae standing in silence. "Rae.." Jenna says, taking on a softer tone. "We're just doing shots. You're both old enough, let me get you two a shot glass." Ric says. "Thanks man, but Rae isn't a drinker." I say, eyes still set on Rae. "Oh, alright. Just Damon then." Ric says. "No, here. Use mine." Jenna says, placing her glass in his hand, before leaving the kitchen behind. Seeing this, I notice the subtle nod given to Ric, before he too leaves. As he's walking away, the Salvatore brother; now known as Damon; speaks. "She doesn't like me very much.." he says. Rae quickly makes her way to the other side of me, clearly wanting to distance herself from him. Although I notice this, I hide it, and casually take his shot glass. "We haven't met. Mason Lockwood. I see you've already met my niece Rae." I say, throwing a reassuring arm around her shoulder, before holding out my other hand to him. "Oh, sure, yeah. Damon Salvatore." Damon says, shaking my hand. "I know. Heard great things about you." I say with a smirk. So this is the one Carol keeps mentioning.. "Really? That's weird, because I'm a di**." He says with a smirk. I laugh, playing along.
Raelyn's P.O.V.
After our introduction, Jenna calls everyone into the living room, for a game of charades. Damon leaves first, saying how excited he was to play. Once we were alone, Mason immediately turns to me. "Are you alright?" He asks concerned, placing his hands on my shoulders. I sigh in relief once Damon's gone, before smacking Mason in his shoulder. "What the hell were you thinking, leaving me alone like that?!" I whisper shout, just incase Damon was eavesdropping. Not that it'd do much good, but still.. Mason let's me go to rub his arm. "Sorry, something didn't seem right. I had to figure out why Jenna suddenly contacted me like that." He explains just as quietly, glancing towards the empty doorway. I sigh and massage my temples. "It's fine, I understand.." I say, before looking up to him. "So, what'd you find out?" I ask. "Jenna only invited me, because her boyfriend wanted to hear stories about her in high school." He explains. However, while he says this, he shakes his head no. Seeing this, I understand, and nod. "Oh yeah..?" I ask. He nods and lets out a convincing chuckle. "Yeah.." he says, before pulling out his phone, and typing something out. My phone vibrates soon after and I quickly pull it out, seeing a message from him. "Damon's listening in. Play along." Is all the message says. Seeing this, I look up, and nod. He gives a nod back, before smirking. "I'll tell you about them sometime. But for now, it looks like we've got a game of charades to play. Try not to be too sad, when I win." He says, smirking, with a wink. I laugh quietly. "You mean IF you win.." I say, with a smirk of my own. Chuckling to himself, he throws an arm over my shoulder. "C'mon then, let's see what you've got." He teases, before leading me away.
Mason and I watch on unamused, as Damon draws on the whiteboard yet again. Anytime it's Damon's turn, he always chooses something canine related...it's like he's taunting us.. Jenna continues to shoot guesses left and right, all of which being wrong. I tilt my head to the side, as I see him draw a Red Tutu on the dog. "You ain't nothing but a hound dog?" Jenna guesses again. I shake my head. Isn't that.. "Dances With Wolves." Mason says, catching my attention. Damon points to Mason in victory. "Bingo! Mason wins, again." Damon says with a smirk. I roll my eyes. He's taunting us in plain sight.. Mason smirks back at him, but the look in his eyes was a glare. It was clear he knew Damon's intentions too.
"Here you are." Damon says, handing the marker to Mason. I try to suppress my glare, but something told me it wasn't going to work. Mason chuckles and takes the marker, before handing it to me. "Rae, why don't you do this next one for me. You've barely had a turn since we started." Mason says, keeping eye contact with Damon. Looking to him, I nod, and take the marker. If he thinks he can threaten us without consequences, then I've got a little something just for him.. I smirk at my idea, before walking past Damon, towards the board. "Well, since we're including films.." I say, trailing off. Damon sits down with a satisfied sigh, before turning his attention to the board and I. Let's see...if I remember the name of the actor correctly.. I draw a half circle, looking back at the group of people, to see if they had any ideas. Nothing, huh? Hmm, what if I do this then.. In the half circle, I write a 'B', before moving my hand under it, to write an 'L'. Once done, I turn back again, this time, focusing in on Damon. He stares at the board puzzled. Still nothing? Here I thought it would've been obvious by now...oh well, guess I'll continue then. Smirking to myself, I add an 'E' next to the 'B', along with a 'U' next to the 'L'."Oh! Uh, uh, what's the name again? Uh...'Best of luck'!" Jenna says confidently, snapping her fingers. I shake my head no at her, earning a defeated sigh. "Dammit, Ric help me out, what other movies start with B and L?" She asks. "Uh, well.." as the man named Ric struggles to come up with a name, I chance a glance at Mason, to see if he had any ideas. As I do, I notice the amused, knowing smirk on his face, as he meets my gaze. Well, at least he knows what it is...but, what about our new friend..? I look towards Damon, who's brows were furrowed in confusion. Still confused I see. Well, this next hint should give it away then..
Amused, I look back to the board once again. For the next hint, I write the letter 'L' next to the 'BE', and write the letter 'G' next to the 'LU'. Once done, Jenna guesses wrong again, Ric seems to go silent, and Mason hides the smirk on his face with his hand. "Alright, you've lost me. Damon, any ideas..?" Jenna asks, giving up. We all look to Damon, who was no longer confused, and instead, had a look of concern on his face. However, the moment he saw us looking at him, he hides the look immediately. "Just one." Damon says, before meeting my gaze, with a glare. "The two words aren't the name of the movie. They're the actor's name, that plays in it.." Damon says. "Oh? Then who is it..?" Jenna asks confused. Damon sighs. "Bela Lugosi...better known as 'Dracula'." Is all he says, never looking away from my gaze. I smirk at the look on his face, before clapping for him mockingly. Your move, Mr. Salvatore..
Is all I think, as I watch him look back at the tombstone.
