Raelyn's P.O.V.
After leaving the hospital parking lot, I had asked around town, trying to find out where to find Alaric. I had remembered Elena saying Alaric was possessed by Klaus, so I figured I'd have an easier time finding Klaus' hideout, if I found Alaric. After a while, I finally got a lead, which directed me to an apartment building on the eastern side of town. As I hurried towards it, I call Jules. She doesn't answer. Deciding there was no time to waste, I decide to leave a voice-mail. Shouldn't be too much further now, better make this message quick.. "Hey Jules, got a lead on Tyler. Once I find him, I'll send him your way. Make sure you two leave town as soon as he gets to you...and for your own safety...don't you dare come back here again.." I say strictly, before hanging up the phone, and hurrying the rest of the way to the apartment building. I stop infront of the building, looking up at it. Fear fills my chest, as I think about what I'm about to do. Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes as I shakily exhale. Please...let this work.. Opening my eyes again, I swallow nervously, before I take a step towards the double doors. Unfortunately, all I can manage is a single step, before a whooshing sound behind me, to my left, finds my ears, right before something hard makes contact with the back of my head. Due to the force of the hit, I immediately lose consciousness, unable to fight back. Ty..
Elijah's P.O.V.
Seeing her body begin to fall, I quickly catch her in my arms, before she can fall too far. "Apologies Ms. Lockwood, but your services are no longer needed.." I say quietly, before lifting her into my arms, and taking one last look around us. Seeing there were no potential witnesses of what just transpired, I use my abilities to quickly leave the area behind.
A couple hours later..
It shouldn't be much longer.. I think to myself, as I glance towards the unconscious woman behind the cell door. Let us hope she does not hold this against me. Afterall, I saw an opportunity, and took it.. As I think this, she stirs. Seeing this, I stand, and walk towards the cell door. "Are you awake?" I ask calmly. As if hearing my voice, her eyes open immediately. She quickly raises herself up, only to wince, and hold her head right after, due to doing too much at once. "Calm yourself, Ms. Lockwood. You took a heavy hit." I say. Hearing my voice, she groans. "Elijah...what..? Where...where am I..?" She asks confused, before she seems to remember something. Due to this, her eyes widen in worry. "Tyler.." she says, before quickly standing, and hurrying towards the door I stood behind. "I have to get to Tyler..!" She says in worry, grabbing the door, and attempting to open it, but failing. "What is..? Why can't I..?" She trails off, yanking at the metal door more forcefully. "Elijah..?" She asks, looking to me in concern. "What's going on? Let me out!" She says, starting to panic. Hearing this, I raise my chin slightly. "Save your strength, Ms. Lockwood. It is of no use to you here." I say, before walking back to a small table, where I take a seat. Once I inform her of what has taken place, I will continue with the plan..
Raelyn's P.O.V.
"What are you talking about? Let me out of here!" I snap at him, panic filling my chest. "I am afraid I cannot do that, Ms. Lockwood. Your transformation will be starting soon. But do not worry, I will return to set you free in the morning." Elijah says, confusing me. "Tomorrow morning..? But, the ritual is.." I trail off, before quickly shaking my head. "No, no, that can't happen! Klaus has Tyler! I have to get out of here, now!" I demand desperately, yanking on the heavy metal door again. "As I said before, I cannot do that." He repeats. I furrow my brows in confusion. "Did you not hear me?! I said Klaus has Tyler! I can't just sit here, I have to switch places with him or he'll die!!" I say desperately. "That won't be necessary." He says calmly. My eyes widen in shock. "The f*** you mean 'it won't be necessary'?! Klaus wants to sacrifice him! You promised to protect him, dammit!!" I say, slamming the side of my fists on the bars. "And he will be." He says still as calm as ever. Hearing this, I'm taken aback, and stop in my tracks. "What..?" I ask, even more confused.
"Your brother will be protected...as will you." He says, making my eyes widen. Seeing I finally quieted down, he sighs, and stands back up, taking a few steps closer. "What are you..? But, how is that..?" I'm unable to form a coherent sentence, as I try to understand what he said. He said...Tyler will be protected...and I will be too...but...how is that possible..? "May I speak now, Ms. Lockwood?" He asks calmly. "What's going on..?" I ask, a bad feeling rising in my chest. "Do you recall a few days ago, where I vowed to pay you back for aiding my escape, and giving your blood to me?" He asks. I furrow my brows. "Yeah..?" I ask hesitantly. He nods. "With the Full Moon being only a few days away, and Klaus already being present in Mystic Falls, I was unsure of how to do so, at first. Afterall, you were to be a sacrifice in Klaus' ritual.." he explains, before looking to me, to check if I was following. Seeing I was, he continues. "You must imagine my surprise, when on my way to retrieve you today, I saw the other she-wolf walking around town.." he trails off, looking towards me. Hearing these words, and seeing the look on his face, the bad feeling in my chest worsens. He...saw Jules..? With that thought, I suddenly remember how Jules didn't answer my call when I was heading towards Klaus' hideout. Worry fills my chest instantly, at this, and I widen my eyes. Swallowing nervously, I speak.
"What did you do..?" I ask hesitantly, barely above a whisper. Hearing my words, he sighs, and speaks. "I kept My Word, Ms. Lockwood.." he says, both avoiding my question, and answering it at the same time. Knowing what that meant, I stagger back a few steps. "Jules.." I say, trailing off. "It was to my understanding, that you disliked that woman. Afterall, she tried turning your brother against you." He says. Shaking my head, I look towards him. "That didn't mean I wanted her to die, Elijah!" I snap at him. "Klaus needed a Werewolf, Ms. Lockwood." He says. "He had me! That's what we agreed upon, isn't it? You had no problem with it before, why the hell did that have to change now?!" I ask angrily.
He is silent at this, almost as if he didn't want to say more. But, before I could press him on his motive, he glances behind him, toward the darkening sky outside of the doorway, just a few paces behind him. After a few more silent moments, Elijah sighs, and speaks. "It will be dark soon. I made sure these walls were steady enough to withstand your transformation. You do not have to worry about escaping, and endangering others. These walls will keep you safe. As I said before, I will return here in the morning, to set you free." He says, before turning his back to me. "Elijah!" I snap at him, making him stop in his tracks. Sighing once more, he glances over his shoulder. "I told you that I would give your family the best possible chance of survival, Ms. Lockwood. I can think of no better way to do that, than keeping you alive.." is all he says, before continuing on his way, and leaving me behind. "Elijah? Elijah!!" I call out to him desperately, only for it to fall on deaf ears.
