Uncle Mason opens the door leading into the cellar, before looking back towards me. I nod to him, before walking inside the dark passageway, he follows soon after. Once inside the cellar, he drops his large backpack, and opens it, before handing me one of our heavy sets of chains. After a brief moment of hesitation, I grab it, and head to one of the wall mounts, to hook the chains to. Due to the cellar being as old as it is, all the chains were rusted, so we needed to have our own, if we wanted to secure ourselves, to make it difficult for us to escape tonight. Even if we manage to escape, we should be able to stop ourselves from hurting someone by then.. With that thought, I make sure the chain's are secure and tight.
Stefan's P.O.V.
Caroline and I walk through the crowd of partygoers, as they hurry towards their vehicles to leave. Its was well after dark, The Full Moon was shining, but hadn't yet crested fully. We stop once Caroline sees Matt sulking as he continues to pack up the party stuff. "He's mad at me.." she says to me. Hearing this, I sigh, and nod in understanding. "Go talk to him. I'll wait." I say, just before my phone goes off. Knowing only a few people would call me, I quickly answer it, as I walk away from her. "Hey." I say. "Hi. So, we've learned some stuff here, and I know it's gonna sound crazy, but I wanted to fill you in." Elena says. Hearing her tone, worry begins to set in. "What's up?" I ask concerned. Elena sighs and fills me in about what they learned.
After she finishes her explanation, I can't help but glance up at the sky in worry. "I don't know what any of it means, or if we should even believe it, but it's a Full Moon, Stefan. And after what you saw Mason and Rae Lockwood do, I-" I cut her off. "I'll be careful." I assure her. Hearing this, she sighs, before speaking once again. "There's one more thing.." she says, her voice getting more serious. "What is it?" I ask. "According to the Legend, a Werewolf Bite can kill a Vampire.." she says. Hearing this, my eyes widen, and I immediately look for Caroline, only to see she was gone. Dammit Caroline.. "Listen, um, I gotta go. I'll uh, see you when you get home, okay?" I ask. "Okay." She says. Hearing this, I hang up, and immediately dial Caroline's number. However, the moment it rings, I hear it, and quickly follow the sound, only to see it laying on the top of Matt's car, with her nowhere in sight. Dammit..! I hang up and immediately start looking for her.
Raelyn's P.O.V.
Mason and I hurriedly lock the chains around us, breathing heavily, while keeping a close eye on the Moonlight coming in from the stairs. We don't have long, God I really hope Tyler listened to him.. I quickly finish locking the chains around my waist, before hurrying to the chains around my ankles. "Rae, don't forget to make the tonic." Mason grunts out, as he pulls out his own bottle of water, and begins to mix the tonic up. "I already did, otherwise I would've forgotten.." I say, grunting in pain as I feel the curse slowly building up in my system. "Alright. Good girl. Need help with your chains..?" He asks, feeling his curse beginning to build as well. I shake my head no, as sweat falls down my face. "No, no I've got it.." I say, finishing the chains on my ankles, and quickly grabbing my tonic, shaking it up. However, Just as I do, voices find our ears, making our heads snap up towards the stairs in worry. That voice...I know that voice..!
"What is this place..?" A woman asks. "Relax." Tyler's voice says. The girl giggles. "Wait, seriously, what is this place..?" The girl asks again. "It's a, you know.." Tyler says, as their voices get closer. Realizing this, my eyes widen in fear, before I look at Mason. "What do we do?!" I ask, panic beginning to rise in my chest. After a few moments, Mason swears under his breath, and speaks. "We've got to get out of here. Pack it up, now!" He orders. Hearing this, I curse under my breath, before unfastening the chains from the wall, and packing up my things, before helping Mason with the rest. "Not much farther Aimee." Tyler's voice was getting closer and closer. Mason and I give up on taking our chains off, and book it out of the cellar, chains, and all.
((!!WARNING!! IT STARTS NOW!!))
We sprint through the woods, our chains clanking with every step. "Mason, what do we do?! It's almost time!" I call out to him, as we ran. "We have to get to the truck!" He calls back. "The truck?!" I ask shocked. "We don't have any other choice! Hurry, Rae, it's coming!" He warns desperately. With that, we speed up. Soon, we slam against the back of the truck. I quickly grab at the handle to the back, only to find it doesn't budge. My eyes widen in terror. "S***!! The back is locked!!!" I call out to him, before I have to grab onto the truck to steady myself, as the first wave of pain begins. "Ah!! Mason, it's happening!!" I cry out in pain, collapsing onto the ground next to the truck. "S***!!" He curses, before grabbing onto my arm, and lifting it over his shoulder, as he attempts to bring me to the other door.
However, as we come around the side, he yells in pain, before we both collapse onto the ground, as he also begins the transformation. Seeing this, my eyes widen in terror. "Uncle Mason I-AH!!" I cry out, as I feel one of my bones break, making me roll over onto my side. "Rae...just...hold on..!" Mason groans out through the pain, digging his nails into the ground. Crying in pain, I shake my head. "I can't..! My leg..! Uncle Mason, it's my leg..!" I cry out, before I feel one of my bones crack at my side, sending even more pain up and down my body. Hearing this, Mason manages to stand, before lifting me once again, and leading us to the truck's door. He yanks the door open, and pushes me inside, right before he collapses to his knees crying out in pain, right at the door. "The back...Rae get to...the back...hurry..!" He groans out, before pushing through the pain, and pulling himself inside. Nodding, I push through my pain, and crawl into the back. Soon, I hear the door slam behind him, before he joins me in back, collapsing onto his back as another of his bones begin to break, and rearrange.
Third Person's P.O.V.
Within the silence of the woods, all that remains is the cries of pain. Until finally, the cries of pain, become nothing more than snarls of anger..
