Damon's P.O.V.
After making it home from the fight, someone knocks on the door, catching my attention. Sighing, I walk over, and open it, revealing John Gilbert. "What do you want?" I ask, having no patience for his antics at the moment. "We didn't finish our conversation from earlier." He says. Hearing this, I nod. "I'll bite." I say, stepping out of the way for him to enter. "I've been thinking. Personal feelings aside, Damon. I think you and Stefan will do all you can to protect Elena." He says. Passing him to pour a drink, I speak. "I agree with that statement." I say. "So, I come bearing gifts.." John says, placing a cloth wrapped object on the table, before opening it up, revealing a dagger and a glass bottle of what seemed to be Ash.
"What the hell is that?" I ask. "This, is how you kill an Original. In this vial, is Ash from a White Oak Tree that dates back to the genesis of the Originals. The dagger must be dipped into the Ash, and then plunged into their heart." John says, pointing the dagger toward my chest. Rolling my eyes, I snatch the dagger away. "How do you know all this, John?" I ask. "Isobel. She's very good at finding out things. But of course, you know that." He says. "Where is Isobel?" I ask. "Let's just say, if she accomplishes what she's attempting...Klaus will never set foot in Mystic Falls." He says, before speaking again. "Where Elena is concerned, you and I are on the same side. Good night, Damon." John says, before leaving.
Third Person's P.O.V.
A couple hours later..
"Mason didn't tell me anything about this. He was gone, or...dead, I guess, before he could help me. Rae helped me through my first shift, but she's done nothing but kept secrets from me since she got here." Tyler explains, after taking a swig of alcohol. Brady sighs and shakes his head. "I don't get what Mason and Rae were even doing here in the first place." Brady says. "Rae's father died, you know that." Jules says. "Okay, but why was Mason stupid enough to stay and get himself killed? He and Rae could've left after the funeral, but they chose to stick around instead, I don't get it." Brady says. "It was because of this rock they were trying to find." Tyler says, catching their attentions immediately. "What rock?" Brady asks. "A Moonstone." Tyler explains. Hearing this, Brady immediately looks to Jules. "I had no idea." She says. "What..?" Tyler asks curiously. Sighing, Brady leans in towards him. "The Moonstone, did they find it?" He asks, his look serious. "Yeah.." Tyler says hesitantly. "Where is it now?" Brady asks quickly. Tyler's eyes shift between Jules and Brady confused. "I couldn't tell you." Tyler says. Hearing this, they sigh, and continue to drink.
The next day..
As Jules and Brady pile the last of the bodies of their fallen pack members, Brady sighs, and looks to Jules, before motioning her to follow. Nodding, Jules walks towards the camper, stopping at one of the few remaining members of their pack. It's silent for a few moments, but soon, Brady speaks. "Go ahead, tell her." Brady says to the boy standing beside him. "Let me just preface this with a big disclaimer that screams: 'I should've known better.'" The boy says. "What is it, Stevie?" Jules asks. "When Brady told me what that Tyler kid said about Mason and Rae being here for the Moonstone, something clicked. There was this moment back in Florida when I suspected those two were up to something, because Mason was banging that hot Vampire chick, Kathy, and he didn't want anyone to kno--" Jules cuts Stevie off. "Alright, get to the point, Stevie." Jules says, waving her hand in the air. Stevie sighs. "That is the point, Jules. It's the Sun and Moon Curse." Stevie explains. Jules and Brady exchange a glance, before looking back to Stevie. "Mason was asking me all kinds of questions about it. If it could be broken and all that. So, when that evil man-witch showed up last night, double-click. Witches, Vampires, Moonstone. They're putting everything in place to break the curse." Stevie finishes. Sighing, Brady speaks. "We can't let them do that, even if we have to kill every last Vampire in this town." Brady says strictly.
