After we're deep in the woods, Elijah finally collapses onto the ground, seemingly exhausted. I look around to make sure we weren't followed. Seeing the coast was clear, and recognizing the area we were, I sigh in relief, and look to Elijah. "Looks like we're safe. Nicely done." I say. He doesn't respond, too busy fighting to gain control of himself. Furrowing my brows, I kneel next to him in concern. "If you need to rest, I can take it from here. I know these parts of the woods, there's an abandoned old cell just a few paces that way." I say, pointing towards the remains of a crumbled building to the right. "As far as I know, the brothers don't know you're alive, or that I'm the one who revived you. We should be safe for now, but we should lay low for a bit. Give you time to recover." I say. Elijah nods in agreement. "Very well.." he says. Hearing this, I carefully throw his arm over my shoulders, and lead him away.
Once inside the cell, I gently lower him to the ground. "I know it's not much, but it's safe. The brothers won't think to look here, even after they find out you're gone." I say, letting him go, and standing, to look around the familiar cell. "You saved me.." he says after a while, catching my attention. Sighing, I cross my arms over my chest lazily. "Yeah, well, don't think too much into it.." I say. "Why..?" He asks, trailing off, and catching my attention. Looking back, I see him staring at me expectantly. Knowing what he wanted, I sigh, and speak. The image of Mason's tortured face, rises in my mind, making me close my eyes, and lower my head. "Because I'm tired of those two getting away with killing whoever they feel like. I may not know you very well, but I know you don't deserve to die. Aside from our first meeting, you've never given me a reason to doubt you, Elijah." I say honestly. Using the deal we made as an excuse to bring him back, was just me trying to justify my actions.. He stares at me silently, unsure whether to trust my words. Annoyed, I roll my eyes, and speak. If he won't accept that reason, then he'll at least accept this one.. "Hey, I warned you about standing me up that day. I told you I'd bring your a** back from the dead if I had to. It's not my fault you didn't believe me." I say, turning towards him.
Elijah sighs and scoots himself up into a better sitting position. "Apologies. For what it is worth, I had every intention of meeting you that night.." he explains. I scoff and roll my eyes. To think he'd believe that instead of my actual reason...honestly, what type of person does he think I am exactly..? Whatever, might as well go with it.. Rolling my eyes in annoyance again, I speak. "It's fine, I should've known it was going to happen." I say, before sighing, and sitting down next to him. We're quiet for a while, until he tries to get comfortable, and groans in pain, before coughing. Hearing this, I look towards him. His skin-tone still seems Grey-ish...why hasn't it changed back yet..? Confused, I turn towards him. "You look like hell. Is revival usually like this?" I ask him. Hearing this, he shakes his head. "No...usually I can recover quickly.." he explains in a hoarse voice. I raise a brow. "What makes this time so different..?" I ask. He looks to me, then to my neck, before sighing, and moving away.
Although it was a quick glance, I still catch on to it, and sigh. Right, it all makes sense now.. "You need blood." I say matter-of-factly. Hearing this, he sighs, and reluctantly nods in confirmation. He may be an Original, but he's still a Vampire.. "Right...you technically died. So your last fix was probably drained in the process." I say, before sighing and shaking my head. "What'll happen to you, if you don't feed..?" I ask. "Do not worry, I will not harm you.." he says, dodging the question. "That isn't why I asked." I say. He sighs. "You have done more than enough for me, Ms. Lockwood. No need to concern yourself further." He says. Knowing what that meant, I sigh, and shake my head. He can't move very much at the moment, which means he can't get what he needs to survive either...which means.. Sighing in reluctance, I shake my head. "Guess there's no other choice then.." I say quietly, before taking out the knife I used to jimmy the lock, and pierce my wrist. This action catches his attention immediately, and his eyes widen. "Ms. Lockwood..!" He scolds me.
"Look, without the Full Moon, the best I can do is glare at the brothers menacingly, maybe growl a bit, but something tells me that won't be enough against two p****d off Vamps. Once they find out you're no longer dead; and they will; they won't stop until they find you. You're stronger and smarter than those idiots." I say, before holding out my bloody wrist to him. "But, unless you get your strength back, you don't stand a chance. You need blood, and we don't have any other option right now. Just quit being stubborn, and take it." I say. He looks between my face and my wrist in disbelief, but makes no move to take what I'm offering. I furrow my brows in confusion. "Why're you looking at me like that? It should be safe, right? My blood doesn't have any venom, so it won't harm you, right?" I ask, still unsure on how all that worked.
He remains silent, and stares at my blood as it flows down the side, before looking back to me. "Are you certain..?" He asks after a few moments of silence. I roll my eyes at his question. "If I wasn't, I wouldn't have stabbed myself. Now hurry up before it closes. I'm not stabbing myself a second time, that sh*t hurts. If you need more from me, you'll have to get it yourself." I say impatiently. And he better be nice about it, if he has to bite me, or I'll knock his teeth in.. Knowing he had little choice, he gently takes my hand, and raises it towards him. Then, with one last look towards me, he lowers his head, and latches onto my wrist.
