A Month Later..

It had been a month since we arrived at the cabin. Raelyn had rarely left the basement longer than a few hours to rest, due to her relentless drive to break her Sire Bond to Klaus. Ever since coming here, she had forced herself to turn three times per day. In the beginning, I had to listen to her pained cries every day, unable to do anything to help. Some days, were easier than others, but there had been days where I simply couldn't bring myself to listen to her pain anymore. So, instead, I would take a walk around the camping grounds our cabin rested on, in hopes of distracting myself. We had both known no words or actions could have ever hoped to erase the pain she was forced to put herself through during that time. There was nothing I could do for her, even if I had wished there was. But eventually, her cries of pain slowly started to lessen during her transformations. Whether she had been too exhausted to scream anymore, or simply became numb to the pain of transformation, I couldn't say. Today, however, something seemed different. No sounds were heard, inspite of what should be taking place.

Although I did not wish to disturb her, whilst she was doing so, I couldn't stop myself from being concerned for her safety. Walking towards the door, I knock. "Raelyn? Are you alright..?" I ask through the door. She doesn't respond. Although worried, I sigh. Perhaps I should let her be for now...I am sure she needs to focus, in order to turn.. Thinking that, I quietly turn back towards the living room. However, the moment I take a step towards it, I hear a loud thud, coming from the basement. Hearing this, I quickly turn back towards the door, knocking on it, as I call out to her again. "Raelyn? What happened?" I ask. Still no answer. Worried for her safety, I quickly make my way downstairs, against my better judgment, and look around the dark basement. It was too quiet. "Raelyn, can you hear me..?" I ask. She still doesn't answer, worrying me further. Walking further into the basement, I search. "Raelyn, are you alright..?" I ask. Still nothing. However, as I walk further in, I hear what sounds like a low whine to my left, and quickly turn towards it. That sound...could she be in wolf form..? But, how..? I did not hear anything this time.. As I think that, another thought comes to mind. Her Wolf Form...have I ever seen her this way before..? Looking back on all the time she and I had known eachother, I come to realize I hadn't. But, as curiosity of what she might look like rises in my mind, I also realize that loud thud I had heard, might have injured her, which might be the reason she couldn't answer. If she is a Wolf right now.. "Raelyn..?" I call out softly, not wanting to scare her, while making my way over to the sound.
