I scream in pain as my spinal cord begins to break and rearrange, becoming more prominently displayed against my skin as it does. Clutching at the bars of the cell, I stubbornly raise myself up again, ignoring the pain I felt. Moving a few steps back away from the door, I once again take a running start, and slam my right shoulder into the door once again. Unfortunately; just like every other time I've tried since Elijah left; the metal door doesn't give. My shoulder throbs painfully from the countless failed escape attempts. Exhausted from both my transformation being in full swing, and everything else that's happened, my legs finally give out, and I fall to the ground against the cold metal door. I cry in both the pain of my transformation and the helplessness I felt, as I come to terms with being unable to stop Jules from becoming the sacrifice. Hugging my knees to my chest, I rest my head on top of them. The only thing I can do, is repeat 'I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..' over and over, as I await the inevitable.
Third Person's P.O.V.
"How are you feeing..?" Elena asks Jenna, who sat in a circle of fire next to her own. "I feel like myself...only not. E-Everything is brighter, the fire's hotter.." Jenna trails off, before sighing. "Part of me is terrified, but, there's another part of me...that doesn't want to feel anything.." Jenna explains. Elena sighs and paces back and forth. "Vampires can turn off the part that's Human. That's the part that hurts.." Elena explains. Jenna nods to herself, as tears fill her eyes. "I'm gonna die, aren't I?" She asks. "No! Jenna, I'm not going to let that happen. I don't care what I have to do." Elena says, although she couldn't even manage to believe her own words as she spoke them. However, before either women could say anything more, the sound of an agonizing cry of pain, finds their ears, catching their attentions immediately. "Who's that?" Jenna asks. "That must be the Werewolf, but.." Elena trails off once she sees the woman Klaus' Witch was bringing. Confused at who the unfamiliar woman was, that was being dragged towards them; instead of Rae; Elena furrows her brows. "Where's Rae..?" Elena asks herself, accidentally speaking her thoughts, just as the woman is pushed over, and trapped within yet another fire circle.
"What's happening to me..?" The unfamiliar woman asks the Witch. Hearing this, the Witch kneels near her. "I cast a spell to slow down your transformation. Your insides are trying to tear themselves free." She explains, before standing and walking towards the altar once more. "Greta, Witches are supposed to maintain the balance in nature. It's your duty to them to keep this Curse sealed!" Elena says desperately. "My duty is to Klaus! The new order." Greta corrects. Just as she finishes this, Klaus walks into view. "Glad to know I still have a dance partner." Klaus says to Greta, with a smirk, before looking to the three women trapped within the circles. "Hello, my lovelies. Are we ready?" Klaus asks.
A few moments later..
"I've got the Moonstone." Klaus says, handing it to Greta. "I spent 500 years looking for this. I hate to part with it.." he finishes. Taking it in her hands, Greta looks up to the Full Moon. "The moon has passed its apex. Remember everything you need to do?" She asks. "I remember." He answers. Nodding, Greta drops the Moonstone into the alter, a fire blazes up from it soon after. Then, she begins to chant. "Everything that I did...I was just trying to help Tyler.." the woman speaks, looking towards Elena. Hearing these words, Elena looks to her in shock, as she realizes who the woman was. "Jules..?" Elena asks. The woman nods in confirmation. "What are you even doing here? Where's Rae?" Elena asks confused. "Rae was...out looking for Tyler...we both were.." Jules replies.
"We split up...and then some Vampire found me...he knocked me out...when I woke up...he was gone, and I was chained up inside some kind of tomb. Then those two found me.." she explains, looking towards Greta and Klaus. "A Vampire?Who?" Elena asks. Jules shakes her head in uncertainty, just before Klaus reaches her. Looking towards him, fear fills her face, as the fire around her disappears. "Shall we..?" Klaus asks. Seeing the fire gone, Jules shows her wolven eyes, before attempting to attack him. Unfortunately, Klaus is too fast. He quickly slams her to the ground, piercing her chest with his hand, and tearing out her heart, before looking towards the remaining two.
Early, the next morning..
I lay sprawled atop the cold, hard ground of my cell in silence. I didn't know what time it was, nor did I care. Sure, I escaped death but...at what cost..? Was it even worth it..? The answer was no. Sure, I may have gotten to live another day, but it was at the cost of another person's life. Jules' life. Guilt at not feeling guiltier filled my chest. However I no longer had any tears I could shed. Last night, I had used them all up. My eyes burned, but nothing came out. Sniffling, I attempt to close my eyes, to get some kind of sleep, but the soft echoes of footsteps approaching, catch my attention. Many what-if's fill my mind, making me too scared to see who was coming, and in my current state, I couldn't look even if I wanted to. My back was facing the door and I was still recovering from last night's transformation, my body was too weak to move. I remain silent and motionless, my heartbeat threatening to break through my chest. A large part of me feared Elijah's plan had failed, that Klaus was the one to find me. But, how would I even know if it was Klaus to begin with? Never once had I set eyes on him. As I began to panic more and more, the person behind me, finally speaks. "Ms. Lockwood.." hearing the familiar voice, I close my eyes in quiet relief. "Elijah.." I say, my voice hoarse. Hearing me call his name, he sighs, and speaks. "Before I let you out of this cell...there is something I must tell you.." he says, his voice solemn.
