"So, what's the plan?" I ask the Warlock. "Those people, are our enemies. They need to be dealt with." He explains. "Okay, but how exactly do you plan to deal with them?" I ask curiously. "Are we gonna kill them?" Luka asks his father. "No. I'm gonna let Elijah do it." The father says. "What about the ritual? Elijah said he needs Elena and I, plus a Vampire, and the Stone. Will he really kill them?" I ask. "That's the convenient thing about Vampires. Unlike Werewolves, they're everywhere. Elijah will have no problem finding a replacement." He explains. I nod at this. "IF we can bring Elijah back." I add, leaning against the wall. "We can and we will." He says. "Okay, but how exactly? I hope you have a better plan than me kicking down the front door, while you two wiggle your magic fingers at the brothers fiercely.." I say. The father sighs in annoyance. "No. If we do this right, the brothers will never even know we were there." He explains. "Alright, if you say so." I say with a shrug.
After telling me his plan, he has me help gather candles. Once he had enough, Luka sits at the desk, as his father and I place them. "Alright, you have your candles. What do you want me to do now?" I ask. "Stay there and be quiet. I need complete concentration for the next part." He says. Hearing this, I sigh, and nod, before taking a seat a few feet away. "Are you sure about this? I mean, I would go if I could." He says to Luka. "No. I'm not strong enough to send you. But I can do this." Luka replies. Hearing this, I speak up. "My offer still stands you know, I could go instead." I offer yet again, earning a glare from the father. Seeing this, I roll my eyes. "Fine, fine. I was just trying to help you guys out." I say. "As I said before, we cannot risk something happening to you. Elijah needs a Werewolf. Your kind are not easy to find." He says. Sighing, I speak. "So I've been told.." I breath out in boredom.
"Now, like I said before, I'll stay anchored. Use all my energy. If you feel weak-" Luka cuts his father off. "Dad. I'm okay. I want this just as much as you.." Luka says, taking his father's hand. With a worried nod, his father takes his hands, and they close their eyes. "Concentrate on Elijah. Picture him in your mind." The father explains. I can't help but do the same. After a few moments, Luka nods. "I got it." He says. With that, the father begins his spell. After a few moments, Luka speaks. "I'm in the Salvatore house. She was right, Elijah's body must be there." He says. I knew it.. "What else do you see?" The father asks. "Elena and Damon are reading." Luka explains. "Good. If Elijah's there, you'll sense him. Stay focused." The father says.
After a few moments, the boy speaks again. "I found him. He's in their basement, in one of the cells. There's a dagger in his chest, I think it's what's keeping him dead. I can sense his soul is still there. I bet if I remove the dagger he'll revive himself." Luka says. So he really is alive. Good. Hopefully Luka can bring him back without a problem.. "Good work, son. Take out the dagger. Elijah will do the rest." The father says. For a few seconds, everything seems to be going well. But soon, Luka gasps. "Elena's fighting me." Luka explains, sounding like he's struggling. "What's wrong..?" The father asks. "She was really fast...and she's way stronger than me...I can't get it out.." Luka explains. Hearings this description, my head immediately snaps towards them, fear erupting in my chest as I put the pieces together. Oh no.. "What he's describing...that isn't Elena.." I say worriedly. The father seems to figure it out too. "Which means it's Katherine Pierce. Luka, kill her." The father orders. "What?" Luka asks shocked. "She's a Vampire. Find a stake, and drive it through her heart." The father orders. Hearing this, Luka goes quiet, most likely doing as he says.
However, after a few moments, I notice Luka's face was extremely sweaty, and his breathing was labored. "Something's wrong, call him back!" I say as I watch the kid's fear filled face. "Luka, what's wrong?" The father asks worried. "Who gives a sh*t, hurry up and bring your son back bef--" I immediately cut off when Luka's body erupts in flames. My eyes immediately widen and I cover my mouth, before I run to their kitchen sink, looking for something to put water in. Finding it, I start filling it up. "I'M GETTING WATER, TRY FINDING SOMETHING TO PUT HIM OUT!!" I scream as Luka's cries of pain fill my ears. "NO!!" The father yells, before I see him attack his son with a blanket. Turning off the water, I hurry towards them, throwing the water on Luka. The flames leave, but it is unfortunately too late to save the poor kid.
Seeing Luka's lifeless, burned body, I drop the empty bucket, and cover my mouth with a shaky hand, as tears fill my eyes. "Oh, my God. Luka, LUKA! I'm sorry! Please! Just wake up, son! Open your eyes!" The father yells, before shakily grabbing a book, and beginning to speak out a new spell. Seeing the father struggling in vain to bring his son back, the tears fall down my cheeks. Knowing there was nothing I could do for him, I can do nothing but stare. But soon, I slowly back away, as I see the uncontrollable rage building in his eyes. Knowing what that meant, I escape out the door, before the father could even think about turning his rage on me. I practically leap down the stairs, before quickly exiting the apartments, and running away from the scene.
