Damon's P.O.V.
Once in Mystic Falls again, I bring Elena home. She was clearly angry with me, but I didn't care. If she had just stayed away, none of this would've happened. Now, to top it off, turns out Elijah is still alive, which makes for double the problems. I can't wait to see what else can go wrong.. As I think that, Elena walks onto her porch. "Thank you for bringing me home." She says annoyed. "Well, your ride and your guard dog both left you. I didn't wanna leave you stranded." I say. She sighs. "She was just scared. She didn't mean to run." Elena defends. "Mhm, and what about the wolf? What's her excuse?" I ask sarcastically. "The 'wolf' has a name, Damon, use it. Also I forced Rae to come with me. I'm the one that keeps involving her, so leave her alone." Elena says. "You want me to leave Kujo alone? Fine. How about next time you wanna do something stupid, don't give me another reason to want her dead." I say. She rolls her eyes. "I can't believe Elijah's alive. Not only that, but why do you think he killed those Vampires and let us go?" Elena asks, changing the subject. "If I had a dollar for every time an evil vampire surprised me.." I trail off, shaking my head. Hearing this, Elena sighs and reaches for her door handle, only for me to stop her.
She looks to me with an annoyed expression. "What you did today was incredibly stupid." I say. "Actually, the only thing that was stupid was that we got caught." She says, snatching away her wrist. "Look, I don't question why you and Stefan, and everyone else tries so hard to save me. So you shouldn't question why I would try to save all of you. Goodnight Damon." She says, right before the door opens, revealing a beat up Jeremy. "What?" I ask him annoyed, before noticing his horribly hidden bite wound on his neck. "...it's Stefan.." he says, catching both our attentions immediately. "Start talking." I say immediately.
Soon, Elena and I are at Katherine's tomb. "Stefan!" Elena calls out, coming to a stop near the tomb opening. Seeing how close she was, and how she took a step forward, I quickly pull her back. "Don't you dare." I say, pinning her to a wall. "Stefan's in there Damon! How could you let this happen?!" She says, fighting against me. "What are you talking about? I was too busy saving you from your little kamikaze mission!" I say. "You didn't even have to go after the Moonstone in the first place!" She snaps at me. "It was the right call, Elena!" I say. "Right call?! How is any of this the right call?!" She argues, before struggling against my hold. "Let go of me!" She snaps. I don't move. "Let go of me dammit! Damon let go!" She says repeatedly, before gradually getting too tired to fight. "You done?" I ask after she stops. Seeing her stop struggling, I let her go. With an angry glare, Elena leaves the tomb behind.
Once she's gone, I turn towards the opening. "Of all the idiot plans, Stefan.." I say, trailing off as he walks into view. I sigh and shake my head. "I'll find a way to get you out." I say. "That's all right. I'll, uh...I'll handle myself. Bonnie has the Moonstone. Work with her, try to figure out how to de-spell it." He says. "You martyr yourself into a tomb, and I get partnered with a semi-competent Witch. Wonderful." I say sarcastically. Stefan chuckles slightly. "Keep Elena away from here." He says. I scoff. "Right, 'cause that'll be easy." I say. "Promise me, no matter what happens, you'll protect her." He says. "I Promise. Provided I can keep your girlfriend from involving the damn She-Wolf in her suicide missions." I say. Stefan nods. "Tell me about it later. Go after her." He says. Sighing, I nod, before hurrying off after Elena.
Raelyn's P.O.V.
I finally make it back to the house a little after 12am. As I'm about to walk upstairs, I hear Mason's voice, which stops me in my tracks. Mason..? I quickly look towards dad's old office, when I hear Mason's strangled cries of pain. Eyes widening, I immediately sprint towards the office. "Mason, you're..!" I call out desperately, only to see Tyler looking towards me in fear, as he sat in front of a laptop, eyes full of tears. Seeing this, I quickly head inside, before looking to the source of Mason's cries. On the laptop, was Mason's first transformation, that he had taped for himself when he was younger. "Tyler, where did you find this..?" I ask, pausing the video. "I...I couldn't find you, and...and you weren't answering your calls.." he says. Hearing these words, seeing how scared Tyler was, I sigh and close the laptop, befote hugging him tightly. "I-I thought you abandoned me too.." he says with quiet sobs, digging his nails into my back, as he hugged me tightly. "Shh...no, no I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere, I promise.." I say soothingly. At least, not anymore..
Once he's calmed down, I speak. "This video you were watching, where did you find this?" I ask curiously. "At the old place, with the cells, and the chains.." he says. "You went there again?" I ask. "I-I didn't know what else to do..! I mean, where have you been the last few days? It's like you vanished. I mean, would it kill you to answer your phone? I left so many messages and voice mails for you and Mason!" He says. "Dammit, I knew I forgot to tell you something. Look, Tyler I don't have a phone anymore. So whatever messages you left, I couldn't get them, even if I wanted to." I explain. "What? Since when? Why haven't you got a new one yet?" He asks. "Since the Masquerade. My phone got smashed." I say. "I can't get one right now, because I don't have anything saved up. As for where I've been.." I trail off, running over everything that's happened. I can't tell him what's been going on. Gotta improvise. "I've been out searching for a job, figured since I'm going to be here a while, I needed to get one." I say. "Why didn't you say anything? Mom would've lent you some money, all you gotta do is ask her." He says. I sigh and shake my head. "I've already been enough of a burden on her, if I were to tell her I blew through my savings already, she'd probably murder me! No, I'll get a phone once I can get a job." I say.
"Anyways, that's the least of my worries right now. Do you...know what tomorrow is..?" I ask. He nods and sighs. "Yeah. A full moon. That's another reason why I was...watching that.." he says sadly, motioning towards the laptop. I sigh and shake my head. "Hey, Rae..?" He asks, catching my attention. "Hm?" I ask. "About the...first transformation.." he says hesitantly. "Stop." I say, confusing him. I look around. "Here's not safe to talk about this...grab the laptop, my room." I say. Nodding, he does so, and follows me to my room.
