Haven pov

We talk about what we think our favorite class will be and what we think the classes will be like. Soon his friends come in and get introduced to me. After a while the compartment calms down and I fall asleep.

I feel someone shaking me awake and open my eyes to see draco.

"You have got to get up we are almost there and you have to change into your robes." I nod and shove my robes over my outfit. When I put my hands in my pocket I find a toad. I keep him there thinking someone must have lost it.

Soon the train comes to a stop and we all pile out and head to the man shouting first years. I get on a boat with draco and two others. We go through a cave and finally reach the castle. As we are walking through all I can think about it how different it is from Jare's.

After a while we get to a room with a Stern looking woman. She tells us to get ready because we will be sorted shortly before walking out of the room.

"Has anyone seen my toad?"

I pull the toad out of my pocket before saying, " is this your toad?"

"Trevor!" He yells excitedly. " Thank you for finding him. I'm Neville Longbottom."

" Pleasure to meet you Neville. I am Haven Williams."

" Nice to meet you." I nod.

Soon the woman comes back and ushers us into the great hall. We line up and see the hat sing. (You all know the hat song so no need to write it out.)

After the hat is done singing names started to be called I zone out until Neville is called up. He gets put into Gryffindor even though I thought he would be a Hufflepuff. After more names we get to Malfoy, he of course goes into Slytherin.

The next one that I pay attention to is my brothers sorting. He walks up with such swagger. He acts like he owns the place. He gets sorted into Gryffindor. Next I hear my old name get called. I know that the scheming old man had a part to play in this because I had it legally changed. After a while of waiting they finally continue.

Finally my name is called and I walk up with elegance. The hat is placed on my head. "Ah so much has already happened in your life and your the founders heir. You have traits for all of the houses but it think that I will have to go with Hufflepuff."

The yellow and black house cheers as I walk over. I sit down and the last of the names are called. Mr. Tried to murder me as a baby talks about how my old parents are now teachers and says a bunch of nonsense words before letting us eat.

All the Hufflepuffs introduce themselves. I listen to the names up to one name in particular. Cedric Diggory. Jare sent me a letter saying that he is my new chosen.

I spend most of diner trying to figure out how to talk to him. Soon the food disappeared and Dumbledore tells I bunch of thing that we are not supposed to do. After that we head to our common room to get in we have to tap a tune on a barrel.

When we get into the room the head of house explains how things work for us.

" So for safety of our students we partner first years with a third year. You will dorm with them, walk to the great hall with them and they will show you your classes. We call this our buddy system. All first years get a bracelet that connects to there buddies bracelet. The bracelet can be pressed if you need help and you can't find your buddy. If clicked it will send a message to your buddy saying where you are. As for who your buddies are here is the list. Find your buddy on the list and stand by them"

She sets the list on a table all the people rush the table to find their name. I stand off in the corner and wait for it to clear out after everyone else is done I look at the list I find my name and next to it is ...
