Chapter 45

Haven pov

Today is the day the other schools are arriving and it's a full moon. I'm bouncing around the school waiting for the teacher to tell us they have arrived. It is almost dinner by the time they announce the arrival. We all pile outside to greet them.

The first ones to arrive are the Beauxbaton children. They arrive in a massive carriage pulled by massive pegasi. They graceful exit and I wave to fleur, she waves back with a smile as they head inside. Next the Durmsung students arrive in a ship from the black lake. Victor walks out first with the headmaster. I smile at him, he looks at me and returns a big grin.

We all walk inside and Dumbledore makes us sit at our house tables. I bounce my leg as the sun starts to set.

"Welcome students to Hogwarts. I am glad to announce the Triwizard tournament rules. As there is a serious level of danger there will be an age line. Anyone under 17 will not be able to enter their names. Feel free to add your name anytime over the next two days." He finally sits down and lets us eat.

I look up at Snape in concern at the quickly setting sun.  He nods and leaves. Next Emery and ced walk out of the hall. I walk over to Slytherin to talk to victor and draco. I walk over to draco first. "Dray meet me in the forbidden forest." He nods and continues to eat. So I walk over to victor and tell him the same thing before leaving the hall.

I see ced and Emery waiting by the forest with Snape. When Snape sees me he leaves. We wait a few more minutes for dray and victor to arrive and walk into the forest.

"Where are we going?" Dray asks.

"The middle of the forest."

"Why?" This time it came from victor.

"Because it is a full moon and I am a werewolf." They both just nod knowing that werewolves never attack their mates.

We arrive in the clearing and I see Alister and Jare. Emery runs to Alister and I run to Jare. Due to the timing of Alister creature inheritance this is his first full moon as complete werewolves take a month after inheritance to change.

I jump into Jare's arms and turn over to Alister. "You ready for your first full moon?" He looks a little unsure of himself. "You will be fine it doesn't even hurt for us." He nods still looking rather nervous. I look up to see the moon coming over the tree line. I jump out of Jare's arms and grab Alister's hand. I show him how to crouch and get ready for the change. I change first and walk over to Alister nuzzling him. He changes soon after.

Alister looks down at himself in shock and starts jumping around happily. I look up to see a confused dray and victor. Then I remember most werewolves don't change like this and don't keep their human mind. I look over at Jare silently asking him to explain.

He seems to get the memo. "Haven and Alister are complete werewolves meaning it doesn't hurt them to change. They can change into wolves whenever they want and they keep their minds. It as quite rare and tends to be only in select families and they keep it their secret. They still have to change on a full moon though and instead of getting weak and tired they get almost untameable energy."

I spend the night running around and listening to my chosen and son talk. After a while we do our usual dog pile and fall asleep.
