Chapter 81

Haven pov

I wake up and do my normal morning routine. Luci, Tom, Jare took their children to work today so I just have Mabel, Loki and Thor home with me.

I was bussling around the house cleaning when I got a call from Fury.

"What can I do for you?"

"Someone is going around asking for your guy."

"And what should we do about it?"

"Take him there. If he goes with them go along."

"Will do." He hung up. "Guys we are going back to New Mexico." I pick up Mabel and tie here to my chest. Loki and Thor come downstairs. "Loki are you coming?"

"Of course I want to know who wants my brother."

"Okay." I grab their arms and travel to an abandoned corner by the entrance to the base. We arrive as it is getting dark. The man on duty recognized me so he let us in. We meet up with the man who is asking.

"Here is your man." The soldier says.

"Thank you. I will take him right home." He grabs Thor's shoulders and lead him away.

"Wait you must take these two with you and keep him away from the bar."

"Will do." We follow closely after him. We drive to a bar.

"Wasn't one of his deliberate instructions to keep him away from the bar?" Loki says with a smirk.

"Well a little drink never hurt anyone." The man responded.

"Yes, brother don't ruin our fun."

"Brother?" The man questions.

"Yes, this is my brother Loki." He nods clearly not believing his words.

"I don't believe we have been introduced." I say.

"No we haven't. I am Doctor Erik Selvig, and you are?"

"I am known as Haven." I say with a slight bow.

"And I am Loki."

"Pleasure." Erik responds. "So are we ready for some drinks?" As we are about to enter mabel wakes up and starts to cry. Erik seems to just notice her. "You brought a baby to work at shield?"

I shush her and respond. "No I don't work at shield. I am just a helper and I am not about to leave her home alone." I say in a scolding tone. I adjust the carrier to block her and slip her in to a position where she can eat.

"A helper?"

"Yeah. I know some people who know the head of shield and the head of shield asked me to monitor him."

"But why wouldn't he send one of his agents?"

"I have a specific set of skills that he felt would be useful for this situation."

"I see." We walk into the bar and get some drinks. Loki just leaves the drink in front of him.

"Brother why don't you drink?"

"I am not in the mood." He responds. I look at him knowingly.

"Well I suppose I will have to drink enough for the both of us." He says as he starts to down drinks. Soon he and the doctor are laughing together super drunk.

Me and Loki take them to the car and get wonky directions to where the doctor lives. I knock on the trailer outside of the lab. I woman opens it.

"Jane how lovely to see you again." Thor jumbles out.

"Thor? What happened to doctor Selvig? Who are you two?"

"Hello, doctor Selvig got Thor from the instillation and took him to a bar. They both got super drunk but are fine other than that. I am Haven and this is Loki we were sent to watch over Thor."

"Well nice to meet you I guess? You can set the doctor on the bed."
