Phoenix POV:

I was very aware that Roswell went to talk to Blaze, and I tried not to peek into either one of their minds, but unfortunately, my mind kept peeking into reading what they were talking about. Even though I already knew what Roswell was going to talk to Blaze about as soon as we stopped talking.

I already knew the real reason why Blaze chose to cheat and also why he chose not to accept me as his mate. Unfortunately for him, my sister, the one he grew up falling in love with, had found her mate the minute she turned sixteen, and she was extremely happy.  I knew that one of the real reasons he cheated me out of a faithful mate was because he was heartbroken that my sister was not his mate, also because he just could not accept me as his mate.

After I left for the Alpha Academy and found Roswell who I thought was my second chance mate, but after remembering Blaze never out right rejected me I realized thT I had at least two mate's, and truthfully I was scared thinking Roswell will treat me the same that Blaze had treated me but Roswell treated me like I was a treasure he had been trying to find all his life, like I was his missing piece.

Unfortunately, some things had happened that yes for a moment. I questioned Roswell's love for me, but he had shown me multiple times why he loved me and not just because of our mate bond. As for Blaze I knew heartbreak all too well, and the fact that we are actually mate's hurt but I guess if I was hurting because my mate did not want me I could kinda understand why Blaze was hurting too, not that, that gave him the right to cheat us out of our mate bond but I actually understood him.

I sighed heavily as I heard Roswell's footsteps outside my bedroom door. I knew he was back the moment he walked inside because I could smell his intoxicating scent, but I ignored him even when he knocked lightly on my door and even after he let his self inside my room. I could almost hear him sighing in relief that he did not wake me up when he came in, unfortunately for him I haven't been asleep the whole time he was with Blaze I just pretended to be asleep when he left so he would go and talk to Blaze.

Roswell believed he was doing the right thing by making Blaze tell him the real reason behind him not accepting me as his mate, so I let Roswell do what he thought he needed to do. It felt strange having a mate that put your needs first for once, but it was strange in a good way. I knew Roswell was a good man and an even better mate.

'I'm not sure what to think about Blaze'. Roswell said, sighing sadly. 'He seems to truly care about you, about us, but he also seems to be a little lost'. Roswell explained, and I wanted to answer him, but like I said, I did not want him to know I was awake and had been awake the whole time so I stayed quiet and just listened to what he was rambling about.

'No matter the real reason behind him taking the mate bone between the both of you, he should have rejected you like a proper mate would have instead of letting you go through all that pain his cheating caused'. Roswell all but growled out, and I smiled. At least he understood why I was so upset and even hurt, still from Blazes' actions towards me.

'Okay Phoenix I know you need the rest and once you have rested enough and feel better we will have a real conversation and if we need to we will also involve our parents, that also includes Blazes parents too. Even though Blaze said he had talked to his dad and his dad told he needed to explain everything to you fully, we will involve them if our conversation seems to be going no where just like it did earlier'. Roswell explained. I felt relieved that he had thought about involving our parents if Blaze kept avoiding this very important conversation so we all know where we stand and if we are going to stand together as mate's or as just friends.

I felt a kiss on my head and heard Roswell sigh again before heading to my door. I knew I should stop him and tell him I am awake and had been awake the whole time but the quick glimpse I got from his thoughts told me he needed to be alone with his thoughts and maybe and even talk to his parents, mainly his mother. I think it is time I also talk to my parents, especially my dad, he is easier to talk to than my father.

Maybe I should also talk to my mom, even though she knows everything already, I want to give her a heads up just incase we actually bring in our parents if t u e conversation with Blaze seems to continue to go no where.

'Good night, Phoenix. I will see you in the morning'. I heard Roswell say as he left my room. I let out the breath I was holding once I heard the door closed, and I knew he had started walking down the hall away from my door.

I felt bad because Roswell is stuck between two mates. One that can not get over the fact that the she-wolf he fell in love with turned out to be his mate, and  Two a mate that can not get over the hurt he had felt throughout his relationship with his mate's cheating.

"Please forgive me." I said to Roswell even though Roswell had already left the room and was out of ear shot, I still felt I needed to apologize to him.

'Mate understands'. Cypress, my wolf, linked me. I nodded, agreeing with him. I knew Roswell understood, but that did not mean he didn't deserve an apology.
