'I will know if you kill Optimus. And if you do...you lose me forever...'

Saphira's words replayed over and over again in Megatron's processor. He had not felt like he had been impacted by words in a long time. But...when Saphira told him exactly what she would do if he did kill Prime...he did not doubt her words. And they troubled him deeply. Megatron normally wouldn't have cared for such things, but in this case, his spark has felt empty ever since Saphira left his ship. He wanted her back, and yet he didn't know if he ever will get her back.

When Saphira showed up at the battlefield, jumping on top of Optimus's chassis, prompting him to finish both of them, he will never forget the look of hurt in her eyes. The betrayal she had felt now knowing of Megatron's lies...it had been haunting Megatron. He had known they were partially bonded, and he didn't tell her until he had gone to the autobot base to travel to the center of the Earth to put Unicorn back into stasis. And with her help, he was able to force Unicron out of his mind and stop him from taking control.

As much as he hated to admit it...Megatron needed Saphira. He needed her in his arms, he needed to hear her voice everyday...now he was on the very edge of losing her. It was not like Megatron to feel as though his spark was being torn. Having Optimus here to decipher the Iacon codes for him was something he wanted, and being able to find relics the autobots hid away...it was something that he felt he wanted.

Or...he had wanted...he was pacing in his berth room at this time. He did not wish to be disturbed at this time, he needed time to think. He had already considered the next plan...however...that plan involved snuffing out Optimus's spark. Now...he truly didn't want to do that anymore. He wanted to just get the codes...and to find the relics. He knew the autobots will eventually find him, Optimus's bond with Saphira is complete and he will listen to the words of his sparkmate more closely than his own words.

Why was I attracted to this human in the first place? I miss everything about her, and seeing her in that base of the autobots...I just wanted to snatch her!

When Saphira did tell all of them about what Primus had said to her, and that it is now known that she is part Cybertronian, Megatron couldn't believe what he was hearing. It sounded like a bad joke, however...he knew that when Saphira came out of her daydream after drinking the white energon something had happened. She just didn't say straight away.

Maybe her being the progeny of Primus has a lot more to do with my attraction to that human than I would like to believe...

Megatron paused in hid pacing, his head gazing at the house that had been made for Saphira so she would be comfortable. It was now empty and cold, no one was living there anymore. And yet...Megatron would now prefer to have Saphira sleeping on top of his chassis. It was the place that she was meant to sleep.

"Lord Megatron." He growled upon hearing Airachnid's voice through the com link. "It seems Orion has decoded another of Iacon's decryptions. This now counts as three relics that we might be able to retrieve, thanks to his assistance."

Megatron grumbled to himself as she finished speaking to him. "Understood, Airachnid."

"And...one other thing..." Airachnid added in a slightly nervous tone.

Megatron growled at the spider con. "Speak now, Airachnid! I grow weary of cons not being straight with me!"

"Starscream." Megatron tensed at the very mention of that name. "He was found in the lab...talking to Orion."

Megatron growled and punched the wall of his room, frustrated about how things were not going his way. "Was Starscream dealt with?"

"He was severely damaged and last seen plummeting to the Earth," Airachnid responded, she was as disappointed as Megatron was knowing Starscream came back and may not be dead.
