Optimus walked into the med bay as he knew that Ratchet will want to check him over. He carried Saphira in his hand as he felt that discussing things with her did not require an audience. Especially when he wanted to speak to her about things regarding Megatron. He sat on the med berth and sat Saphira on his knee, however, he gently rubbed his thumb along her stomach gently. Knowing there was a life growing within her...and he helped to create it...it was an immeasurable feeling. Saphira was still nervous, she knew she had to be honest with Optimus. She had no choice but to be honest.

Optimus looked up from her stomach to her green eyes. "Saphira...can you please be honest with me? I didn't ask you about what happened on the decepticon ship because we had been so caught up with Unicron. Now that he is gone...I think you need to tell me the truth."

Tears fill her eyes and she took a deep breath. "And I hope you will understand...that I didn't expect for any kind of feeling for Megatron..." Optimus flinched slightly as he listened to her speak to him. "Now I know why, thanks to Primus..."

Optimus hummed softly...he was aware of her audience with Primus...he did not know everything that was said. "I need to know what Primus told you, Saphira."

Saphira sighed deeply, looking up at Optimus. "You already know the basics about my existence. Primus created me in the hope of ending the war between you and Megatron. He told me it was always my destiny to be your sparkmate..." She paused as she was really nervous. She glanced up as Ratchet approached with Knockout, though the con didn't get close, he simply leaning the wall and listened. "And it is also my destiny...to be...Megatron's sparkmate..." She felt Optimus tends when the words leave her mouth. "And the way you will finally end the war...is because of me...or rather...these sparklings..."

Optimus listened to her quietly. He didn't like what he was hearing. "Optimus..." He looked up at Ratchet as the medic stood by the med berth. "Saphira told me this too. And sadly, I do not think she is lying. I honestly feel sad for her, with this kind of weight on her shoulders. Primus put her here for a reason. And as much as you hate the idea, she and Megatron are to become sparkmates just as you are her sparkmate."

The autobot grimaced and looked down at Saphira. "I know I cannot deny the will of Primus. Though...to ease my mind...did you consent to interfacing with Megatron?"

Saphira nodded as tears roll down her cheeks. "Yes...I did...I kind of wish I hadn't."

"Why?" Knockout asked suddenly. He tensed when Optimus and Ratchet glare at him. "Oh...sorry...I should not have said that."

"It's okay...I honestly believed Megatron at the time," Saphira said with a grimace. "He said he wanted to make a truce with you...and that he was going to speak to you that day, Optimus...and a part of me hoped he was telling the truth." She sniffled a little as she spoke. "And...I woke up...before Megatron...and I...well...what he said wasn't wrong."

"I can't tell you how disappointed I was that I had to play along with his lie," Knockout said bluntly. Saphira looked at him with a curious expression. "I told Megatron that you are the best thing to happen to him. And I warned him that he could lose you. I was right."

Ratchet frowned at the decepticon. "Why do you even bother telling us this? You make yourself sound like you care for her."

Knockout looked offended at Ratchet. "Don't tell me you think that I am faking this."

"Well...I don't know." Ratchet shrugged at the con with a frown. "Though I guess that you are telling us without hesitating could be a positive sign..." He looked at Optimus who sat there with a sad expression on his face. "Nonetheless, Saphira did not interface with Megatron without consent. I would look at that as a positive."
