Optimus ran into the med bay and passes his unconscious sparkmate to Ratchet. Blood was still seeping from her nose and eyes, and it was terrifying him. Ratchet and Knockout place her on a gurney and wipe her face briefly before attaching vitals. While they raced, Optimus noticed her eyes were moving under her eyelids. It looked like she was awake, but she was not. He wanted to open an eyelid to see if she was awake, but decided it was a bad idea.

"It seems the infection has indeed spread through Saphira's body. But it seems the new spark matter that has ended up in her system from those crystals has helped the inflammation." Ratchet attached an IV to Saphira's arm and frowned as layers of sweat formed on her skin and he saw the movement of her eyes. "It is almost as if her own spark matter and the new spark matter is attacking each other, causing the wound to not only be infected, but worsen."

"Worsen?" Megatron did not like the sound of that. "Are you telling me the wound will worsen?"

"Possibly, but even if we can get the wound to heal, the inflammation might remain in her system..." Ratchet was frowning as he was angry at himself. "How did I not see this? Just because she had no fever, did not mean something was going on! Grrr..." He slammed his fist onto a nearby berth in frustration and Knockout gave him a glare. "I know, I know! But I am just so frustrated! This is not Saphira's fault, and I should have done a better job of keeping a close eye on her!"

"But we could not have known this to happen," Knockout said in a calmer tone as he grabbed a machine and wheeled it over. "And it seems like Saphira's behaving like she's still awake..." He began to place patches on Saphira's head. "We should be able to see how active her brain is."

"Is there a way to see what she could be seeing?" Bulkhead asked worryingly. "Like...when Bee used the cortical psychic patch..." He glanced at Megatron who frowned a little at that memory. "Yeah, we could see what was going on."

"That would explain how you got the cure." The silver mech shrugged a little and looked at Knockout. "But I am also curious if that is possible."

"I am afraid because she is not a Cybertronian, we cannot see what she is seeing," Knockout responded calmly as he finished putting the patches on and turned on the machine. Almost instantly, the screen showed high activity. "Oh yeah, she's definitely awake in her mind."

The vitals machines were turned on and the heartrate machine was going off very quickly. "And her heart is beating very quickly, and it seems adrenaline is pumping. Hopefully this will calm down, but we will need to give her a dose of antibiotics to fight the infection."

"Is there even a way to stop the two spark matters from colliding like this?" Wheeljack asked slowly. He did not think it was possible, but it didn't hurt to ask. "Especially since it seems to be hurting her..."

"I am afraid I do not know. This is the first time we have ever had a human related to us, and this has never happened before. For the first time in my life..." Ratchet grimaced and gritted his teeth. "I...do not know what I am doing...I only know to keep a close eye on Saphira and make sure she is comfortable. And giving her the right medicine can..." Optimus and Megatron suddenly grunt and holding their abdomens as though they are in pain. Ratchet widened his optics and glanced at Saphira. "Oh no...if you felt that, then she is feeling physical pain too."

"That is not good..." Knockout brought over a syringe with the antibiotics with a worried expression. "That means...uh...she...well...I do not want to say it."

"So don't say it!!" Ratchet snapped fiercely at Knockout, making him flinch back in fear from Ratchet. "I am already thinking it too, I do not need you to say it out loud." He glanced at the two mechs who both had wide optics of fear. "I am sorry, but there is nothing we can do but wait. I think whatever is happening within her mind needs to be dealt with by her own actions."
