Hidden Spark on Earth II (TFP)

Chapter 81

Stepping through the vortex into a world that is dark, bleak and damaged may not be something Saphira had wanted to see. But as she looked around at the world in front of her, she could only feel hope now that they had the keys and would find the Omega Lock very shortly. Still, she felt a sense of sadness from sparkmates as seeing their world this way was still very painful for them.

"I had not wanted you to see our home like this, Saphira," Optimus said in a very soft voice. "I know it will change very shortly, but this is not how we want to show our home to you or anyone else." She rubbed his cheek gently and smiled. "Do not let this burn into your memory, Saphira. This will not be how we will remember Cybertron."

Saphira nodded in agreement. "I know. Don't worry, Optimus. I will not remember this, but I will remember today for the rest of my life." Saphira still didn't know if she would have a regular human length of life or longer, but she no longer cared. She felt like she's already experienced an entire lifetime. "I think I will have Miko take a photo of today, so we will have a permanent reminder."

"Good idea, Saphira. I will make a mention of it to the girl." He looked ahead as he noticed Smokescreen, Bumblebee, Wheeljack and Soundwave stand close to each other, looking down at their keys. Optimus walked over to them. "What are the keys doing?"

"They are..." Smokescreen paused as he lifts the key in his hand and began to move it around. "It would sure be easier if you had a coordinate for the lock." He chuckled lightly before gasping and stepping in the direction he had turned to and pointed. "This way. I suggest we use our alt modes so get to the lock quicker."

Optimus nodded in agreement and transformed. Saphira yelped a little as it had been sometime since she's been on his shoulder when he transformed. "Autobots, decepticons, let's roll out!"

She giggled when she heard Optimus's order as he drove forward with the autobots, Shockwave, Breakdown and Knockout while the other decepticons fly above them. She glanced out the window to see Starscream following in his jet mode and smiled, hoping that he wasn't struggling too much. She knew that he has had little time to get his strength back, but at least he would witness this grand day.

Saphira frowned in surprise when she felt a sudden feeling that made her feel like they were approaching something familiar to her. She had not expected it, but she wondered if she was sensing the Omega Lock. She wasn't sure and glanced out the window when she saw Predaking at the corner of her eye. She smiled as she guessed he had seen them arrive and was following them.

"It seems the Omega Lock isn't far from the Well of All Sparks." She looked at the dash curiously when Optimus spoke thoughtfully. "Well, we are heading in the direction of it. I am not sure if I am right, but it seems that way."

She smiled a little and looked ahead of them. "Wherever it will be, it won't matter. Because we will find it and we can revive the planet." The feeling of familiarity was growing stronger and she felt as though something was starting to pull her. "I sense something ahead of us."

"You do? That means we are heading in the right direction." Optimus was extremely confident about that and excited. "And as you're the other part to help revive Cybertron, it would make sense that you would be sensing it."

Saphira nodded slowly. "Maybe. It feels more like Primus to me, but I am not sure."

He was silent as he processed her words carefully. "It would not be the first time Primus wants an audience with someone. I suppose I can take you to the Well after we have activated the Lock."

Saphira nodded. She couldn't help but be a little nervous about Primus calling out to her like this. It could mean anything. But she doubted there was anything to be worried about. She knew Primus is good, and he has been good to her. She relaxed in the seat as Optimus continued to drive along the metal surface as he followed the four who carried the Omega Keys with them.
