Chapter 13

Two Weeks Later...

A bit of time has passed single Bumblebee lost his t-cog. Ratchet was able to reinstall it and Bumblebee took the liberty of speeding around excitedly now that he could transform again. It really was great to see Bee come back to life again. He and Raf spent their days tearing up the tarmac, but eventually Optimus put a stop to that. He didn't want the local police to catch then for reckless driving. Which was a good idea.

Fowler ended stopping by a few times, mostly to try and undergo the truce that was created between the bots and decepticons at this time. Seeing Megatron in the base as though he was a friend was still strange. But Saphira had liked it. While she and Optimus worked on repairing their own relationship, she and Megatron had started to do that too. She even returned to his ship a couple times and spent a bit of time with Soundwave as well.

Soundwave has not been able to locate Mech yet, but he did find strange communication between them. They learned Mech was going go create more than one base location, so that was going to be interesting to follow. At least the cons were able to find out what Mech was planning at least, even if they could not find the base at this time.

Megatron was still not allowed to stay all the time in the base, but he was in the base several times a week, and that was something Saphira really liked. She felt it was the perfect amount of time to spend with Megatron, even though she knew he wanted more. He has even suggested bonding with her fully, but Saphira felt far from ready for that at this time. She understood why, but their relationship was not even at that point yet.

Saphira's morning sickness hasn't changed a lot yet. She was grateful that it was only occurring in the morning at this time, even though she was annoyed whenever it happened. But she was still able to eat breakfast, and she stuck to eating a Japanese breakfast for the time being. She found she could stay full for longer, and the nutrition from it was good. When June found out this is what Saphira chose to have for breakfast, she supported it. She was glad Miko taught Saphira how to make it and that it was going to be Saphira's best option.

Though Saphira did find she was starting to dislike processed meat. She had tried eating a ham and cheese sandwich, and she found the ham to taste weird. But when the others ate it, they said it was fine. She found the same with bacon and salami. So she simply decided to go without them for a while. Which was fine as she didn't have processed meat much anyway.

Today was a big day for Saphira. It is her first, proper check-up for herself and her sparklings. Saphira was a little nervous about it as she was also going to have an ultrasound. June and Knockout will be assisting Ratchet with the check up, and June had brought along some images of month old fetuses to compare with the sparklings growing within Saphira. She was not showing yet, but learning about the size of the sparklings at this point could give an indication of the size they will be at birth.

Saphira sat on Optimus's shoulder as he sat on a med berth waiting for Ratchet to be ready. Megatron was standing in the room as well. The two mechs were looking forward to seeing the development of their sparklings. They both knew their sparklings were growing healthy, as Saphira kept drinking white energon three times a day and eating a healthy diet. They were interested in knowing just how big their sparklings will be. June has already got images of average sized month old fetuses to larger than average, so she could measure the twins and compare them. She also knew that they had to keep in mind that Saphira will probably be pregnant for longer than nine months, which will factor in the size of the sparklings.

Saphira drummed her fingers on her knees gently as she waited. She looked at Optimus, feeling the excitement coming from the mech. "What are you hoping to hear from this check-up?"

"That the sparklings are developing well, and that you are all happy and healthy," He responded, turning his head to kiss her cheek gently. "That is all I care about right now. It is too early to tell if they are a mech or femme. We will know maybe by the next month. Femmes are sometimes smaller than mechs...I say sometimes because Elita was taller than Arcee, for example. But again, it could be too early to tell. And we won't know which sparkling belongs to us until birth."
