Chapter 22

Two Weeks Later...

After the incident of Nemesis Prime, it had been discovered that Silas's body was not found underneath the robot when Agent Fowler and the military went through the rubble to find him. The robot itself had been seized, which was good. But the fact the man's body had disappeared was not a good sign. To Saphira, it meant that they would see him again at some point. And she knew he was going to be angry. That scared her.

Saphira had also been forced to rest for a whole week. The stress the sparklings went through put her body under stress that it needed to rest. Thankfully it was just for a week, but she ended up getting annoyed by the end of the week with Ratchet Optimus and Megatron telling her that she needed to rest and was often forced to lay down or sit because of it. It didn't help that her nausea had gotten worse since the incident and she began to have difficulty sleeping a full night due to nightmares and nausea.

She began spreading out the white energon intake during the day so that she wouldn't vomit a heap of it up when the nausea hits. Despite all of this, when she had another check-up, the sparklings were still healthy. It was a good sign, and Saphira's body was not being drained as they all worried that it would be. And they were able to determine that the sparklings would indeed be larger than a human baby at the time of birth. They had grown a lot since the last check-up and the sparklings were at least ten inches larger than the average human fetus, especially for twins. Ratchet and Knockout could not properly predict the exact size of the sparklings at birth since they still did not know how long she would be pregnant for, but Ratchet was already creating a diagram as a reference to follow as the sparklings continue to develop.

Saphira's craving for fish has not gone away either. She was still eager to eat the tin fish and fresh fish daily. She found herself enjoying sardines covered in nutella and almond butter in particular. It was something the children couldn't stand to see, but Saphira ignored everyone who complained to her about it. After all, it was what she and the sparklings wanted.

Saphira did finally meet Dreadwing in the last few days as well. She quite liked the decepticons. The warrior showed deep respect for her and apologized deeply for his actions against the autobots that caused him to lose the privilege of meeting her a couple weeks ago. His calm, thoughtful demeanor really was different from the other decepticons that she has met so far. And she found herself getting to know Dreadwing, and she even was able to learn more about Skyquake through Dreadwing. She did ask about twin Cybertronians and learned about split sparks, which was how identical twins were created. It was intriguing to Saphira, even though she was sorrowful about Skyquake's death, which Dreadwing appreciated.

Megatron was also allowed in the base full time. The empty berth room beside Saphira's room became his new berth room, which made Saphira extremely happy about. Saphira did ended up sleeping on his chassis a few times as well. It was a little awkward being made to choose who to sleep with, but it didn't worry her too much. Though Megatron did discover Saphira was starting to show when she slept on his chassis, and the overwhelming joy the con gave off was delightful. And the happy dance that he had in front of Saphira was amusing and she found herself falling in love with him a lot more. She could see his love for her and the sparkling.

Saphira and Knockout were still planning her birthday. Breakdown got involved as well and Saphira was really looking forward to it. One more week and she would be eighteen. Saphira was currently in Knockout and Breakdown's room, sitting on Knockout's knee as they look through different dress companies to find a dress for her to wear. She wasn't too worried about her stomach getting in the way as she wasn't huge yet. But she knew that the others will probably notice that she was showing as she hasn't told anyone else yet. Ratchet and Knockout were the only other ones to know she was showing.
